    Interesting Stelvio get-off

Right - like I said, we need more motorcycle only tow truck drivers  On my get off, the tow truck driver gave me the 100' cable and I scampered down the ravine to clamp on - the cable was about 2' short. I asked 2 others to get down the hill and help push the Lemans up that distance to...

    Interesting Stelvio get-off

Great pics and story and thank God you are alright. I rode my V11 Lemans off a cliff on highway 1 in CA in 2004. Bike ended up 100' down a ravine. I was unhurt but sore the next day. Tow truck came and towed my Lemans up - upside down"ish" and on it's side - that's where the damage occurred...

    Help!! quick reply needed

I had the same problem in the rain with my 09 Stelvio - last year - October in Northern California - rally at Bodega Bay and ride to Pt Arena in the rain. My speedo sensor fried in the wet and the instrument cluster went blink blink. Instrument cluster at first showed no speed along with the...

    Clutch Chatter ---- Brrrrruuum ---

my 09 with about 6200mi has the same sound on cold start, only once or twice and then not again when warmed up. It can be quite loud too - a brief groan once or twice when letting out the clutch fully.

How to program a new igntion key

Could be too simple but you mentioned the stelvio has the alarm system? Cant start until alarm is deactivated. Key should have the activate/deactivate button. Turn key to on with the right program and click the key-button

Riding in 6th gear at or below 3500 RPM

why? Doesn't matter your age - what is the engine telling you. Ride what the RPM'S are telling you. Don't lug the bike - any bike. don't try to be in any certain gear - just be in the gear the bike is telling you to be in. Make sense?

    Throttle Cruise

I paid the $20 US for the Go Cruise Throttle Lock - works as advertised - simple friction grip. BUT - myk speed really fluctuates with it - way more than with the Throttlemeister - I did not install the included o-ring gasket to make the grip tighter - could use that maybe. Overall impression...

How did you mount your aux lights?

I suggest mounting under the headlight housing - out of the way. Crash bars are too exposed IMHO. B) I would be interested in that... and how are you :o

    Helmet/wind Buffet

"Above 40MPH I start to get this buffet and by the time I get to 60-70 MPH my vision is blurred and it feels like I am getting concussed. The bike is unrideable with any comfort and I'm getting a bit peed off with it. " What kind of helmet are you wearing? I'm 6'1" and will ride visor up with...

    New Exhaust slip-on

Thanks to Todd I received my new slip-on for my 09 Stelvio. My bike was in the shop waiting for a replacement speed sensor and instrument cluster for 3 weeks - I picked up the bike with the parts still not here - wanting to fit the pipe  The taking off the OEM can and bolting on the new...

    Colours of apple

I think Oz must be a good place - slightly east of Lodi. We just bottled here and am waiting until this weekend to rack the wine we picked this season. Past few years it's been Zin. Co-worker friend owns the vineyards .

    Colours of apple

It is true that one can wreck perfectly good Zin by taking the poor little skins off and make White Zin or one can ferment w-w-w-hite grapes into w-w-white wine types - but my lips have only rarely touched that stuff. Now eating a good seedless Thompson is quite another thing. John - I'm in...

    Colours of apple

Phang - you mentioned GRAPES - I love grapes. My wife loves grapes. Grapes for wine are all RED. White wine ( ) comes from RED grapes with the skin peeled! My wife is here below kneading the head in a barrel during the primary fermentation making Zinfandel Red in Lodi CA :P
