Check Oil red light when running

Yeah a common fault. My oil sensor on the Bellagio failed at around 30,000km. At least it's a cheap fix, not like Brazilian backpackers!

Why would a 96 Cal Wallow in a turn?

Do what Ghezzi says and it shouldn't wallow much if at all. Just make sure your shocks aren't soft touring type things!

    New Shock

Used to hate the 1980's air suspension on bikes. Who could possibly get exactly 6 psi in both sides using a big plastic syringe thing with a screw on fitting??? What's this pump like for accuracy? How much did it cost you? Ive heard good things about these from Harley guys. Would like to hear...

Terrible Experience with V7 Racer 2012

I agree that Guzzi's take a little more involvement than most makes and I make a point of running a spanner and an eye over things regularly, but this degree of issues sounds over the top. I doubt that I would put up with it if it doesn't get any better. It is a shame that they can't get it...

    Rear sets for Cal Special

Nice! Have been casually looking for these. Hard to get in Australia at a reasonable price. I've wanted to modify my Jackal to a kind of 1100 S or T.

    Jackal Questions...

Alloy bar with three holes drilled. Crude but effective! They're still a little more forward than a "normal" bike but suits me much better than the standard Jackal position. I've kept the original handle bars so the riding position is still upright but not the feet forward cruiser style. I'm 5' 10".

    Jackal Questions...

I just took some photos of my rear sets. They're Tarozzi's. Yes they do bring the riders feet closer to the pillion. My partner is used to it and compensates a bit so we don't connect a lot. Mind you she prefers the Bellagio so I usually ride the Jackal solo ;)

    Jackal Questions...

I just took some photos of my rear sets. They're Tarozzi's. I'll try to post them in a separate post. Yes they do bring the riders feet closer to the pillion. New Jackal Owner

Lowering the suspension is the most effective option. TheJackal has plenty of clearance so it shouldn't be a problem unless you really fang it. Lowering the seat is nigh on impossible as it's thin as and sits hard on the rails anyway. Many people put more padding in them to improve comfort. If...

    Jackal Questions...

Great bike! I've got rear sets on mine which move the pegs back about 3 or 4 inches to a "more normal" position. This is a lot more comfortable for me as I find the standard position a little to far forward. Those boards might be aftermarket lowered units from a U.S. dealer starting with "H". I...

Are there any Bellagio's in the states?

Yeah the spec sheet quotes a lower torque figure for the Bella than my Jackal but there's nothing in it on the road. The 940 is amazingly flexible, smooth and willing. The Jackal has old school tractor torque and with the heavy flywheel it has own character. It's a case of numbers on paper not...

Are there any Bellagio's in the states?

A great bike. Good foot peg to seat to bar ratio, comfortable seat, easy stable handling and the short stroke motor is sweet as! Don't know why they don't sell! These things are fun. They are hard to classify, and the bike media keeps labelling them a cruiser which I think is misleading.

    Bellagio Servicing

Hi, the Guzzi Club of UK has a pretty active bunch of Bellagio riders on their forum. I recall a lot of threads and pic's about bar end mirrors and other mod's. Worth a look!

    Swingarm bearings.

Yeah my steering head bearings went south at 25,000km which caused me to check the swing arm and rear shock linkages. All pretty dry. My mechanic tells me that most makes are dry now even jappers and Beemers. Very scary and piss poor in my book!

    New Aussie Griso owner

Congratulations, nice bike. The new Gold Coast Dealer is a whole lot better than the old dealer for sure.

    Australian Power Commanders are F@#KED

Note your solution regarding the earth lead in another thread. Probably a mod worth doing on all Bella's?

    New Guzzi Rider

Welcome, nice choice re the Bellagio. They're a great bike. Lots of good info here and in other forums. Mine's just turned 38,0000kms and getting better all the time.

    Breva 1100 with skittish steering

Best thing you can do with a CARC bike is check every bearing and bush. They assemble the buggers dry. My handling woes started at 32,000km with a dodgy feeling front end. Steering head bearings were dry and rusty! The rear shock linkages go dry quickly too. I replaced the head bearings...

    Bellagio Oil Level

I realize that I'm coming in late on this thread but just to add to the size of the "survey sample". My Bella left a puddle after brisk riding. Did the air con foam thing which reduced the size of the spot. At 34,000km, it just stopped dropping oil??? I change every 5,000km with a negligible...

what spares do you carry for a long trip?

The trouble with forums is that one can get the impression that a brand is dodgy as most posts are from people having a problem. Read a BMW forum and you'll feel good about your Guzzi. Need to remember that forum posts are a tiny minority of owners/miles ridden. I've done 37,000km on my...
