    Help with my MGX21

I have used a marine product called "Corrosion Block" for many years. Safe even on electronic curcuit boards, and inside electric motors etc. In the US try West Marine. Contact cleaner first, followed by this stuff got rid of all my nuisance service alerts quite a few years ago, and they have...

    Mindis V7-850 Mods

If you haven't cut those holes (is it just tape?) I feel (who the hell am I?) they may look better cut vertically, maybe matching the angle of the leading edge of the sidecovers?

    2022 V7 LeMans 850i - building it -

It's been a year. Hope you are well, and riding the wheels off this beauty! When the Centennial loomed, I was sure MG would present an 850LM replica, on this platform. In stead they blindsided me with the V-100 some time later. This bike is simply stunning , and I would love to see where you...

Breva 1100 - broken rear shock conrod

Havin done the linkage on both, and the swing-arm bearings as well, it seems the lack of grease from assembly has more to do with water getting in, causing corrosion, rather than wear from lack of lubrication, as there is so little movement in these bearings. My focus was to make sure I got lots...

Breva 1100 - broken rear shock conrod

One Griso 11 and one Breva 11, 2006. Both have 110K km. Over the years, rear suspension linkages have been re-packed once and recently swing arm bearings replaced and of course greased. They were both in need of attention. I ride through the winter with salt on the roads on Canadas west coast...

brake master cylinder - griso 1100

16 mm. Use a small mirror, it is printed on the underside of master cyl. I have two. Perfect bleeding is a necessity to get a decent feel, otherwise they can be spongy/long travel. Aftermarket will make them better (I am "used to" mine), but proper bleeding is always the challenge. After a...

    Hi Gang...

There is often so much more to life than "messing about with bikes". Nice to see you have found time to come back. Spent a few years in Saskatchewan. The wide open spaces are good for the soul.

    Reassembling the Eldorado

On my G-5 at the end of the eighties, the clutch hub gave problems near 55K miles. It led to a very grabby or abrupt engagement. Made the bike hard to ride. Nice to have a chance to check it before assembly. The peg rubbers? Could it be front and rear, same side??

Can you reverse the handlebar clamps on the Touring?

My friend owns one of these, purchased second hand last year. The "first thing" I noticed looking it over was that the handlebar risers had been reversed, definitely for the same reason you state above. Should be a pretty quick procedure if someone holds the bars while you do it. Not sure if he...

BC, Did Moto International take over the Chilliwack shop?

Reading my own post, what was I asking?? Yes, there was info on Moto Int.s site of a new location in Chilliwack. Maybe our secret agent in Mission has something on that :) . Turned into a fun thread after that!! Having sold my Buell (I'll miss that engine), I am lost for ideas. Nothing wrong...

    Instrument pod delamination v7-850

One of the places that repair speedos and tachs should be able to replace the plastic lens with glass. Of course you don't have an "off season" in Costa Mesa to deal with that sort of thing .
