Very true Peter, I am not a mechanic but I have successfully rebuilt motorcycles ( they ran after I rebuilt them) , but you are too modest you ability to remember details about everything and quickly diagnose symptoms is uncanny.
And most importantly you share
Two things,
1. as everyone said there is always a few narrow minded asshats in every group, you have a beautiful bike, enjoy the Guzzi experience and don't let any one ruin it for you.
2. is there anything Pete Roper doesn't know about Guzzi's?
Some years on the higher passes you will see snow all year but usually high above the roads, I would love to visit Scotland and may in the next year or two
Day 4 Osoyos back to Elkford 612 Kms
Amazing day, the roads were wet all the way home, huge black thunder clouds every where, but oddly I dodge every bit of rain until about a kilometre from the house. Where I am now after 2800 km on the Guzzi and loving it even more. Well I hope you enjoy I...
Day 2 Lochsa to Colville Washington 570 Km, a short day for me as I was heading west on Hwy 20 but buddy Ralph had to get back to Calgary that night, we went our separate ways in Sandpoint Idaho at 4:15 pm, the man is a rock I don’t think I could have made it.

Be careful on those roads out there Dave, you know at your age and the accompanying failing eyesight, and old bones don't want you all worn out before you make it to BC for the BBQ
Holy shi%, when I went to check the valve clearance on my Rosso Corsa for the first time one of the locking nuts came off REALLY easy, the locking screw was snapped and the locking nut was holding the 2 pieces in place by about 2 threads, holy shit if that fell off and went in the engine...
Absolutly true on the leap of faith and congrats on what sounds like a great start up, though I am sure the buisness would attain a much higher status if opened in the Interior of British Columbia
