    Tire replacement for 1200 Norge

In my experience, avoid Avons. They are a wider profile than most and when I fitted one to my Breva a few years ago I found it touched the swingarm. Changed it to a PR2 and used them ever since. I've now got a Norge and that's probably what willl be going on it next week. Phil

    Advice on Norge

Not advice as such but a 6000 mile report. I got myself a Norge last year and have the same issues that concern you. Vibes through the right bar give me pins and needles in my fingers after a while but I started getting that on my Breva 1100 as well in the last year I had it, so that makes me...

    Screaming clutch

My Breva 1100's clutch made a noise for most of the time I owned it, 4 out of 5 years probably. It did it most when under a heavier load, like pulling away on a hill and it didn't matter if it was hot or cold. The bike had done over 37K by the time I recently changed it for a Norge and the...

New Quill pipe for a Breva 1200

Hi You did well on the price. On their old website you could see the prices and options and nothing was that cheap. Maybe yours was the first 1200 that they could use as a prototype ? I've been quoted £340 for a Tri-Oval in stainless and I've ordered one anyway as I've been thinking about...

    CARC Input Seal Leak

Thanks for the info guys, I was hoping it might be something from the breather and checked that out first. Having taken the CARC off though it's definately the input seal that's on the way out. I don't think it's too bad at the moment as the oil level doesn't seem to be changing noticeably...

    CARC Input Seal Leak

I don't recall seeing anyone report this one before, but if it's on the forum somewhere point me in the right place. I noticed a small patch of oil on the floor beneath the swingarm and after investigating found it was coming from around the plastic brake hose cleat just in front of the...

    Service time

I found the fork legs to be very tight in the top yokes when I did the oil change and a blunt instrument was needed to get them through !! You have to be very carefull not to damage the fork caps. I measured the oil quantity when I drained them and got about 480cc in each (don't know what...

    Handguards on the Breva

guzzibob wrote: These aren't the same as the Caponord guards (that I have on my Breva), they haven't got the extensions over the brake and clutch reservoirs and the brackets look different.

Breva 11 Red Warning Light etc

Brian UK wrote: I tried to find some elsewhere but gave up due to there being so many different styles. Pyro Dan doesn't do relays for the new models. They cost about 14 quid from the dealer. The reason I changed all three was because I'd swapped them around in the past to try and cure a...

Breva 11 Red Warning Light etc

This saga started just before the old server crashed & burned and I put some info on the forum then. I'd had a series of brief cut-outs when riding where the engine would die for a second or two, the dash warning light came on + service in the display. It would then re-start as I slowed in...

    Breva 12 2V

These pics of the Breva 12 2V confirm what I thought I saw at the local dealers, that is that the colours are metallic blue or silver. If you go on to the MG Italy web site, the model colour options are black or silver !! Comes to something when the advertising department don't know what...
