Sachse Mp ignition fitted onto the alternator.Very reliable and accurate but more expensie tan the Dyna.God rid of the motoplatt on my 650 NTX for this and also now fitted one to my T3 and got rid of the distributer
Not sure that the later spoked wheel bikes have the same set up but likely.Check the parts fiches on the later V 7's- Stein Dinse have them on their parts website.Other option would be to use the Nevada swinging arm and brake set up complete but then you have a 16 " hoop to change out.If your...
Those carbs look like PHF series from here.
Uni foam type filtrs can be had with cranked fitting sleeves ,alternativly traight inlet manifolds ocaisionly come up for the small blocks. You could get some machined up too.If your looking for maximum power and efficiancy that would certainly help...
Pretty sure the primary drive ratio is also different.V 50 3 is the same as the monza if my memory is correct. All the gearbox internals would be different if that is the case.Fine if you swap complete boxes and driveshafts but then the bike will struggle in 5th two up if the engine is a v50 2.
The clue to your problem could be in the fact that it is fitted with filters whereas it originally wouldn't have had them......the jetting would need to be adjusted from standard to compensate.
That brake is absolutely atrocious 'head but that was the deal on enduro's of that era apparently.
Only one PO5 instead of the two on the road going smallblocs, 21" front wheel and of course the extra weight of a full 32 lt petrol tank...I've had a couple of very near misses in the brown pants...
On my 'splatt it looked like the earth wire was broken under the sealing epoxy on one of the boxes...hard to be conclusive that that was the problem as your dealing with stuff that was manufactured nearly thirty years ago.
The C 5 stuff does look good- keep us updated !
It was the easiest option for me at the time my motoplatt burnt out as replacements were not available.
Good to hear that they will be resuming production after Volker's horrible death.
The first NTX series didn't have them which I think was really stupid and so must the dealers because the following series had them. The TT didn't have a centre stand which I also don't really get but most bikes now don't either.
Putting shorter shocks without modifying the stand will make it...
They hold a small pool of oil for the pushrod ball end .
I'm pretty sure that that would have been deemed necessary when the engine was originally designed as the lubrification for the top end is partly based on misted oil.The rubber cups would hold more oil up there. In practice ,as the cups...
She looks really good !
non stock sidestand - a close up could be useful to someone in the future.I put a lengthened Quota on mine using a bar between the centre stand and the long engine mounting bolt near the oil filler.
