Hi ghezzi - after I failed to adequately tighten the oil filler cap on my 2007 Nevada after my first oil check and consequently doused whole left side of bike with oil, I replaced rear brake pad with one described as "MGear Brake Pad organic" purchased from Metal Gear in Brisbane...
My '94 Cali 1100i had two taps and I was under the impression (not sure why) that one was for main tank and the other for reserve - never got to test it.
The fuel pump stopped after the initial prime when starting the bike but then ran continuously and was rather noisy.

I suspect the most effective fuel additive around (and universally available) is compliance with the signs indicating maximum speed limits - unfortunately it would seem that due to some "law of nature" this is in direct opposition to the "need for speed" that forms part of the DNA of most...
Presuming your Stone is equipped with the similar basic suspension as my '07 Nevada, I would suggest that preload on rear shocks is the only adjustment available to you - there is heaps of info. available online (Google "motorcycle suspension") on establishing appropriate
- but not necessarily...
Johnny - how did you establish the requisite 20 mA current flow - my 2007 Nevada employs same dashboard control (I spent a couple of hours perusing parts lists looking for traditional flasher can) and I would like to do similar upgrade to yours but need to confirm that current flow requirement...
Thx GuzziMoto - sounds pretty straightforward for an old fart - I think the brighter LED's should add a bit of extra safety to what seems to be becoming an increasingly dangerous way to have a bit of fun.
Cheers

My 2007 Nevada Classic does not use a flasher can (turn indicator) - I am advised by Dealer that turn signals are controlled by the "dashboard circuity" - can I replace standard globes with LED's and does this involve adding resistors etc.
Cheers

If your love of Bikes and biking is NOT just a bit of theatre you like to indulge in but IS a part of your DNA, then I would suggest that the best bike in the world is the metal you have under your men's parts at any given time - stay uppendicular and enjoy the ride!!

Can only agree 100% with ghezzi and John from my experience with '94 Cali. Now running same tyre on my Nevada Classic with same level of satisfaction.

You didn't mention how old the bike (and hence OE tires) are - as I understand it, six years is considered to be about max. tire life regardless of how much tread remains -apparently the rubber hardens as it ages and this can cause handling problems. I am running Bridgestone Battleaxe on my 2007...
I use a Guzzi publication entitled "V750ie Workshop Manual" in conjunction with my 2007 Nevada - it specifies 25 Nm - I doubt that that particular value would be any different for your bike.
Cheers

Hi to all "small blockers" - my 2007 Nevada Classic should have small cam (part no. 32677660 according to Stein Dinse) located beneath the pivot end of the brake pedal - it is used to adjust the height of the pedal - mine apparently went missing whilst in the custody of the PO. To save a bit of...
Thx Mackers - some useful info on that site that just didn't appear in my search results. I have just concluded a 3yr. relationship with a 94 Cali 1100i and felt like I had a fairly good understanding of how it all went together but having now downsized to the Nevada it seems like I'm starting...
Thanks Dave and Peter - I'm pleased to report that with your assistance and following the tips in the
thread you referred me to Dave, I have not only conquered the recalcitrant QD jigger but have removed pump assembly from the tank - just have to get an all metal filter and then - I think it...
Hi Peter - thanks for that link to the Oetiker clamp - do you have any tips on releasing the QD fitting - I get the impression that it can be quite simple or an absolute PITA and if possible I'd prefer to go the easy way when I check the fuel filter on my 2007 Nevada.
Cheers

Hi All - I have just purchased a 2007 Nevada Classic and I am anxious to address this problemASAP
( it's almost certain nothing has been done at this stage - it only had 985 Kms on the clock when I picked it up) -is there a tutorial or any Info on lifting the tank and/or what is involved in...
