    Griso 8v stalling at idle

Fixed! Spraying carb cleaner into the stepper motor seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for your help John.

    Griso 8v stalling at idle

Thanks john, I'll give that a try. I'm also replacing the HT leads, just to rule that out. Todd's helped out by revising the PCV map, which was a base map rather than one of his, but the fuel mapping doesn't seem to be the cause of the issue.

    Griso 8v stalling at idle

Hi Folks My Griso 8v has started stalling at idle. Symptoms are that when idling (throttle at 0%) the engine struggles for a few seconds, then coughs and stalls. Same symptom with hot or cold engine, and just rolling off the throttle at low speeds will cause a stall. Keeping the throttle at...

    Happy Griso

I'll second that. Reading these forums its easy to believe that we never have anything but problems. My Griso has always worked perfectly, both before and after I threw it down the road. I tweak and adjust because its fun, not because I have to. I get a huge amount of pleasure from my Guzzi...

    Griso Newbie - North Wales

Hi Grommitt Welcome from a Griso 8v rider in Scotland! My advice is to ride it a lot, then ride it some more. I have had no problems at all from this great bike... except for the one occasion that water affected the speedo sensor, but that cleared itself up after 30 minutes.

I'm making a pilgrimage to Mandello in June and was planning to extend my AA breakdown cover for Europe - does anyone have good/bad experiences of this?

    Should Rear Wheel Spin Freely?

Thanks Ad B, appreciate you taking the time to look at it. Your findings support my conclusion that the resistance is normal... The CARC gear drive seems to be the culprit. Interesting to hear about the increased HP with the dB killer back in place. I'd removed mine from the Termignoni...

    The Mods Have Begun

Loving your work there kmac33. I'm a week or two ahead of you on the ECU reflash on my 2010 8v, and may have taken Todd's last CNC lid... In another week or two I'll have a before/after dyno run for the ECU/filter/PCV/AT combo that I'll post. What are the benefits of the conical bars - just...

    Speaking of Griso...

Have just started reading Manzoni's "The Betrothed", so will give my thoughts when Griso makes an appearance. Don't hold your breath though, it's not light tome. My kindle's a damn sight heavier since I downloaded it.

    Should Rear Wheel Spin Freely?

As it happens John, I had my 2010 Griso 8v (Termignoni exhaust, no dB killer) on the a dynometer last week. RWHP peaked at 94.7. The bike is specified as having 110 BHP, so discounting any effect of the exhaust that'd be a 14% loss. I'm told that 15% is a typical figure for any bike, so it...

    Should Rear Wheel Spin Freely?

Thanks John, sounds like its not a problem. There's no noticeable gear noise, and I can push the bike relatively easily. I'll ride the bike for a couple of miles without using the back brake and then check the temperature of the rotor. Well, once my ECU comes back from Todd I will.

    Should Rear Wheel Spin Freely?

Hello everyone, been following the forum for a while but this is my first post. I put my Griso 8v on its new Becker Griso-lifter stand, and tried to spin the rear wheel... I could turn it with a little effort, but it didn't spin freely. Seemed like the brakes might be dragging. Am I worrying...
