Stock 2012 SE, I've lowered the pegs, added the Givi A770 and now the 2" handle bar risers.
I had read about the "turbo" mode that kicked on at 5K. Never happened. Heard about a dual personality. Have not seen it.
Sitting on it in store is a LOT different than riding and I'm quite sure I...
Just found out today that Moto Guzzi has a power tap for the TomTom GPS and to make things even easier I found it!
Woot!
But, I need the wire that connects to what ever socket Guzzi used to my TomTom (I have a 1435 and would like to use that instead of spending a load of bucks for a second...
They did on my bike, but I have serious clearance issues to get to the pinch bolts. In the position you want I could not reach the heads of the bolts. So I kinda torqued the front ones down, tapped them up to expose the lower ones, torqued them down and attached the bars to where you see them...
After riding today I felt the need to move the bars back some. Google does not seem have results.
Can anyone recommend new mounts that will move the bar back?
Four months. Yikes on the fuel. I'd get some sea foam and add some to the next two to three tankfuls just to help clean out the varnish. Especially if you live in warm to hot climes.
I've got the new 2012 SE, no power surge at 5500rpms. It's linear from 2K to redline. Power comes on in a very no rush or excitement, you go from 75 to 105 with no warning. Comes in handy passing RV's in the mountains. :)
I'm still trying to get used to the power. Previous bike was a Moto...
I'm scraping my toes right now with a 1" drop. Not all that often and now I tend to raise my inside foot to avoid it altogether. 2" would have me concerned.
The Green SE is the colour scheme that grabbed me. Black is so common that it is hardly worth noticing but that is just me. A bike colour is highly personal so you go with what grabs you.
I"ve got a 36" inseam and only 160lbs. First couple hundred miles were a bit tight but with a couple thousand miles under my belt now it the bike and I are coming to terms. Not saying that will work for you, especially after you spent so much time with the ST, but it's possible.
The seat has a black elastic band which is stapled to the base so I can NOT inspect the edge of the seat. But the strap is visible and it's synthetic. Certainly looks to be the same material as the seat and it does not feel like leather. Now that said; it looks damn good and will be less of a...
Just a quick note to confirm the brown seat for the SE is NOT leather. Which is bummer, but in Phoenix leather may not be such a good idea. Vinyl will age more gracefully.
Still, it looks damn good. Still looking at having a custom seat made and have not come up with a better color.
