    NTX Grounded No Parts Available

No, they could not do that. Cycles are covered by FMVSS Standards as well as cars. (Regulatory Specialist is what I've been doing for a living the past 15 years.) But - I will check into it again and report back. Not the first time I could be wrong. Just ask my wife!

    NTX Grounded No Parts Available

As this is my third Guzzi, I know all that. (First Guzzi was in 1976) BUT - the availability of parts and time to acquire said parts - is considerably worse now than it was in the pre-internet days of 1991. My comment about possibly selling is that (like a fool) I did not do the due dilligence...

    NTX Grounded No Parts Available

I have to order everything as well, even with a "dealer" 5 miles away. Harper & MG Cycle have been my "go to's" for everything. However, the chronic additional time spent ordering, having to wait for the the boat to sail over and outrageous prices has me seriously considering selling the Guzzi.

    Mistral Crossover

Just received a new Mistral Crossover from MG Cycle. Will be installing tomorrow hopefully. 125 mile ride planned for Saturday. Will be able to give a full report then. Chris

    Time to Re-Tire : )

Always been a Pirelli user on my Guzzi's. Running Sport Daemons right now. Balanced out great with little weight. Very good cornering grip. Chris

    BMC Filter or not?

Joe - Think I'm going to just start e-mailing you direct! Thanks again for the help. I have the Mistral crossover on order from MG. Should be here in a couple of weeks. Figured I'd start there and will keep you posted. Chris

    BMC Filter or not?

Anyone out there using the BMC filter on their Nevada Classic or Breva? Worth the expense? More induction noise? If so, good or bad? Only experience I've had was with K&N's on the old LeMans. Thanks. Chris

    Nevada Classic Idle Set

Thanks Joe. I appreciate the info, as usual. It just seemed high, but it is what it is. Now that I'm down to getting picky (maybe anally so) on the adjustments, she is just about done tweaking. For now...... Chris

    Nevada Classic Idle Set

Anyone know what RPM the idle should be set at on a 2005 Nevada Classic? Mine is running around 1100. Seems a wee to fast. When I use the idle speed adjuster on start-up, I have to move the lever at least a third of the way back before I get an increase. So if it should be lower, how would I...

    Suggestions on louder horn

I'll probably order something that I can plug and play. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade. So that means I'm "Electrically Challenged"! Hooked up some Hepco & Becker twin lights a couple weeks back. Was nervous as a you know what in church when it came to splicing in to the electrical system...

    Crash bars

I put the engine crash bars on my Nevada Classic. They look great and offer the piece of mind if I do drop it. Wish they were a bit wider to get a nice set of highway pegs, but will fabricate some myself. Ride safe Chris

    Pros /Cons on Centerstand

Been scouring Ebay. Most of what I've found so far is incomplete. But did find a rear rack / back rest awhile back. Wife's about ready to throttle me on the expenses, so just trying to keep it down. Chris

    Pros /Cons on Centerstand

I'm thinking about adding a centerstand to my Nevada 750. Not sure it's worth the price of a new one, and have not been able to locate a used one. Anyone think it's a definite add? I had both a side and center stand on my 81 LeMans and 83 R80. But that was a long time and the brain cells have...

    Suggestions on louder horn

Thanks Marc & Canuck - Nice to have some feedback on what ya'll are using. The Fiamm's sound like the ticket and are priced well. BTW, never thought of looking at Aerostitch! Had one of their suits back in the early 90's when I had the LeMans. HAd to match the bike ya know...... I did get...

    Suggestions on louder horn

Well Duh. Figured out the high note horn must have a bad diaphram. Low note diaphram is weak too. So - will be in the market for new ones. Anyone put on anything aftermarket?

What did you do to your Moto Guzzi today?

Installed a set of Hepco & Becker on my Nevada Classic. Just have to determine which electrical feed I want to tap into and will be all set. Chris

    Suggestions on louder horn

Anyone replace their stock horns (Nevada Classic IE or other) with anything aftermarket, or figure out how to make the stock dual horns louder? The stock ones sound kind of wimpy. Especially comparing them against the stock Yamaha V-Star my brother rides, and the Harley's my neighbors...

    Mirror Extenders ??

Found these kinda goofy looking mirror extenders on Amazon. Under $20. They work very well. Pushe the mirrors out and up enough that I see more than my shoulders and elbows now.
