Will I Be Glad I Bought One?

I agree with WitchCity -- I use my '12 for solo, long distance touring and camping trips on hard surface roads. It now has 17.5K miles on it and continues to run better each time out. There are issues that need to be worked though (they've already been discussed) but they're not...

    Stelvio only Rally

I've got it on my riding calendar. It's the weekend after the VA Regional Rally in Meadows of Dan, VA and the weekend before the Guzzi National in Elkader, IA. Three weeks on the road -- sounds good. Ride safe.

Wanted: Graphite Y piece exhaust gaskets in europe

My local Kawa/Yama dealer had two of the smaller size in stock. P/N 11060-1330 is for a Kawa Vulcan (I think) and is the same size as the two at the front end of the Y-Pipe on my Stelvio. As I recall, he charged me ~$15. each for the pair. Hope this helps.

Wanted: Graphite Y piece exhaust gaskets in europe

This would be the size for the two at the front end of the Y-Pipe at the joints with the Header Pipes. The size at the back end of the Y-Pipe, where it connects to the muffler is ~ 5mm larger in diameter -- probably 55 X 61 X 30 mm.

    Fuse block question

Marc, Something you may want to consider -- the bike comes with a pre-wired, "switched", power lead for a Tom-Tom GPS. The wire is wire-tied to other wires under the left side fairing (the one you have to take off to change to the European turn signal light). It has a special plug-in fitting...

    Fuse block question

Marc, Look at the discussion titled "Bad Problem with Guzzi Stelvio NTX Aux Lamps" by Leafman60. It's now on Page 2. It identifies a problem with the Aux Lamps that will take out a 30 Amp fuse that is also on the right under the front seat, but less visible. You'll want to become familiar...

    Stelvio windscreen

Peter, It sounds like your Gustafsson windshield is pretty much the same as the OEM part, except it is 2" higher. Were you running the OEM part all the way up in the adjustment? If not, would raising it have helped, or did that approach create some other problems? If you were running it all...

    Parting with 2012 Stelvio NTX

I agree. This is what happened to my '94 K1100LT at 45K miles a few years ago. I was headed to the "Sun Your Buns Rally" in Venice, FL with a riding friend. On I-75 near Sarasota the bike began to feel "squirrelly" in the rear end. Concerned about a tire failure I pulled over and stopped...

Rostra Cruise Control Installation on '12 NTX

Yes, you're correct. Without the connection to the engine RPM in some fashion, I have to be careful when I'm operating in cruise. The Servo has a wire that's dedicated for engine RPM for that specific purpose. If I ever get into that end of the bike I'll consider connecting it. If you find...

Rostra Cruise Control Installation on '12 NTX

Jon, My use of the bike is long distance touring, camping trips and cycle rallies. I seldom do day rides. So, my use of the cruise is in the higher gears only. I use 5th for running on two-lane roads (4K RPM=60 MPH) and 6th for I-States (4K RPM=70 MPH). I've only tryed it in those two...

Rostra Cruise Control Installation on '12 NTX

The weather turned warmer today and I took the opportunity to get out and do some switch testing. The best combination is # 2, 3, 6 and 7 "On" and the balance of the switches "Off". I may make some other adjustments when Spring gets here but I expect they will be minor. The bike really runs...

Rostra Cruise Control Installation on '12 NTX

That's what I'm working on right now. Unfortunately, our weather has closed in again and I'm stuck working in the garage. I was concerned about having adequate cable with the Servo in that location so I went to under the passenger's seat. Also, under the seat is easier for the switch...

    Stelvio Rims

The leak should show up with soapy water or a big tank full of water. If it's not leaking past the bead, then it is either a spoke o-ring or the tire that's causing the problem. The o-ring will be a repair (warranty??) situation, the tire should be a straight replacement on warranty. I don't...

Rostra Cruise Control Installation on '12 NTX

Peter, I just tryed to post pictures of the Tool Tube that I mounted on my NTX. No luck. I've also tryed the Photoshop website in the past with no luck. I have been able to post pictures (of the Tool Tube install) on the Wildgoose website in the past. Luap's software is easier for me to...

Thanks for the response John. I'll try your words in posting pictures of the Tool Tube I installed on the NTX.

Rostra Cruise Control Installation on '12 NTX

OK, I'm getting close to finishing the installation of a Rostra Electronic Cruise Control on my 2012 NTX. This unit was on my Wee-Strom and I am now moving it over to the new bike. The installation has not been difficult but the installation options are very limited. The Guzzi engineers did a...

    2011 Stelvio windshield with Barkbusters

RR, I just installed a Laminar Touring Lip on my '12 NTX and it seems to help quite a bit. I just returned from a short camping trip and rode most of the time (Southern IN two-lane roads) with my face shield open and minimum wind impact. By the way, this particular Touring Lip is one that I...

Stelvio REGISTRY & Pics thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Re: Stelvio Registry Good Morning All, I just found this area of the website, so will register. I picked up my NTX in late June and now have near 5K miles on it. No pictures but in Cool Orange it looks pretty much the same as the one shown by "DirtyMartini" above. Only problem so far is...

Sudden loss of Charging 2012 Stelvio NTX

I have 4500 miles on my NTX and have had three failures so far. #1 failure (left side) at 500 miles -- an improperly installed wiretie broke the wires just outside the rubber boot. #2 failure (right side) at <2K miles -- wire touching the inside of the housing. I caught that one before it...
