    Rexxer ECU Tuning?

I had my local dealer install the full fueling kit + air-filter + airbox mod. I bought the parts and they did the work. It made EVERYTHING about the powerband and throttle response better. CJ

    Oh No - Not Tires

5000 miles on the Avon Cobras and still loving them. No appreciable wear yet.

    Oh No - Not Tires

The grip on my Avons seems much better than the Dunlops. I thought I had a problem with the bike because it was very unstable in corners. Now it is solid and smooth. They're new, of course. We'll see how they age but I expect good things based on other people's comments.

    louder pipes

As an alternative, my bike came with Agostinis but without the dbKillers. It was really loud. I just got the dbKillers and installed them and I'm really happy with the deep tone now. The dbKillers look like they won't do much but they really do.

    Oh No - Not Tires

Just put Avon Cobras on to replace the D251s. Went with the 180/65-16 on the back and it looks like it fits fine. The ride is a lot smoother and the handling and turn-in are a lot more confidence-inspiring. The D251s vibrated and always seemed like they wanted to wander. I'll post about...

    California 1400 hanging throttle

Just back from service. I haven't ridden it exhaustively yet but it seems a lot better. The valves were very loose and the mechanic says (according to Guzzi) this causes the ECU to try and adapt (badly). No feeling if replacing the clutch switch did anything.

    Guzzi Steve riders hill

I have a PCIII on my EV. It runs better than stock but I was always curious if it could be 'right', with a better map and that does timing as well as fuel. The PCIII only fiddles the fuel. The MyECU box looked cool but you're the only one I know that even HAS one, let alone made it work.

Steve, I think you were experimenting with a Jeffries MyECU for your EV at one point. Did you ever get that working to your satisfaction?

Cal1400 REGISTRY & Pics thread - ADD YOUR BIKE

I'm in Atlanta. The bike got here from a chopper shop in Palm Bay, FL on 11/2 and I've put about 700 miles on it since. I've been in the Guzzi Famiglia for nearly 20 years and this is my fourth. I had a '83 LMIII, a '97 Sport1100i, still have a '98 EV and now this. I will probably look into...

Cal1400 REGISTRY & Pics thread - ADD YOUR BIKE

Recently bought a 2014 Touring (ZGULVC009EM112051) with about 5200 miles on it. It's currently getting its 6000 mile service and once over from the local dealer, as well as some new tires. It has unbaffled Agostini pipes on it but they're a bit raspy so I have the DB-Killers on order.

    California 1400 hanging throttle

On a related note, after doing a bit more riding (pre-repair still), I've noticed the throttle can hang on decel under engine braking without ever touching the clutch. I'll roll off the throttle to jake-brake it down to a stop and the idle will catch at about 2700 RPM and coast there, leading...

    California 1400 hanging throttle

The bike does not start in gear with the clutch pulled in, so I presume the switch is bad. I've swapped the simple ones before. Where is the wiring harness connection on this one and how hard is it to get to?

    California 1400 hanging throttle

My switch moves with the clutch and clicks like it's working. I'll try the starting test later when I leave work.

    California 1400 hanging throttle

I just bought a '14 Touring that has 5500 miles and has the hanging throttle problem. Is the consensus now that it is caused by the clutch switch?
