Hi Jack You certainly gave your Stelvio a fair go, if mine had been as troublesome as yours it would be going too, good luck with your next bike Kev

    5 Month Ownership summary

I too have had a few "issues" with my ntx, bought new last year. Nothing major in the great scheme of things, my big issue is with waiting 10 weeks for replacement warranty parts . It's only 2 days drive to pick the bits up ffs. Right where's me tin hat and ear plugs before I get lectured again...

Stelvio rear wheel - loose spokes ????

Finally got the crash bar replaced today, only took 10 weeks to come, this is just not good enough I'm afraid. Moto Guzzi are gonna have to up their game or they gonna lose customers . Had a loan of an Aprilia Caponord while the dealer replaced crash bar, replaced leaky seal on carc and...

    Am I missing something ???

Yep as far as i know the bars are made by another company not Guzzi, the 2013 bars have been modified to resolve the weld problem with anothe brace welded on. A better mod would be to mount the crash bar to the frame and not direct to the block (too much vibration) this would cure cracked welds...

    Am I missing something ???

Thanks guys, was just a 'little concerned' about the lack of a nut. The spotlight mount came away from the crash bar at the weld, a crack was noticed last month while it was in for the loose spoke fiasco, a new crash bar was ordered then under warranty, of course it still hasn't turned up, that...

    Am I missing something ???

While fitting a rear hugger I noticed the top linkage on the rear suspension Shock absorber does not have a nut on the end of the bolt, is this normal or is this something else fell off my Stelvio ? Already lost the hugger and a spot lamp this week ffs !!!!

Stelvio rear wheel - loose spokes ????

Holiday weekend here so nothing happening till Tuesday, spoke with the dealer yesterday and still waiting on warranty claim, if nothing changes on Tuesday I will be going for getting the wheel trued and spokes tightened. I will be checking with the tyre garage (tyres fitted 300 miles north of...

Stelvio rear wheel - loose spokes ????

I hear what you're saying Guz5, sorting it myself means paying a spoke wheel company to sort it for me, I would have a go with one or two loose but not the whole lot Kev

Stelvio rear wheel - loose spokes ????

How do Jack, the NTX I have comes with spoke wheels as standard, I'm thinking the incompetence lies in the tyre fitting department, my dealer went down the warranty route as first option as the bike is only 9 months old, sorting the thing myself whilst I shouldn't have to is looking like the...

Stelvio rear wheel - loose spokes ????

I agree the spokes are fine, the wheel appears to spin true so the rim should be ok too, all felt ok on the last leg of my trip after tyre fitting also, if all the o-rings have failed that could explain it, could there have been that much heat in the tyre? Who knows (as yet) ? Still think it...

Stelvio rear wheel - loose spokes ????

That is BS IMHO. It is a spoked wheel. They have made them for well over 100 years. You true it and tighten the spokes, and you go ride. The dealer can't tighten spokes.... really.... The dealer can't respoke the wheel as such, because every single spoke is loose it is starting from scratch...

Stelvio rear wheel - loose spokes ????

Reluctant to put names out, especially whilst still trying to get sorted. Latest update, yep you guessed it - 'No Change' Turns out Luigi and his buddies on yet another bank holiday, so no movement on warranty claim.

Stelvio rear wheel - loose spokes ????

That would be funny if it wasn't a fact and there should be a law against it ffs

Stelvio rear wheel - loose spokes ????

Still nothing happening, tyre still on rim, rim still got loose spokes, rim still on bike, bike still at dealers, dealer still can't tell me what's happening, owner still none the wiser, Bank Holiday Weekend here soon too I can feel a major fallout coming soon. Also how the f$$k can...
