Whine from the rear (no not the wife)!

Thanks all for your time and suggestions. Funnily enough on reflection it does seem to be more vibey on the right which might point toward drive train issues but I will certainly bear in mind the engine mounts. My gallant Guzzi chaps will sort it out I'm sure. Happy Crimbo! Nik.

Whine from the rear (no not the wife)!

Hi, any ideas please. Stelvio NTX, 2012 model, 9800 miles, serviced as per schedule. I've had a bit of vibration at about 3500-4000 revs where the bike seems to be shaking more than it should and a bit rough with it too. At about 70 MPH + I am getting a high pitched whine from the rear drive...

Hi Brooksy. Just noted your interest in a MIVV Edge. I have a MIVV Speed Edge (probably the same thing) that I don't need any more. It is in excellent condition and comes with all the necessary fittings to go straight onto your Stelvio. I can tell you more and get some pics if you wish. Best...

    Luggage/hugger quandary.

Hi Ray All I did was fit the hugger then take it off the centre stand and sit on it, bounce up and down a few times and then see where it rubs. Not particularly scientific but worked. I then trimmed the hugger just enough to create a clearance. Sprayed the hugger Matt black and it looks great...

    Luggage/hugger quandary.

Hi I had to shave about 1cm off the silencer side of my hugger just in the vicinity where the exhaust mounting bracket is. Works fine with no fouling now. Sprayed it matt black and you wouldn't know anything had been done to it. Regarding the heat you mentioned I've tried two variations. The...

    Touratech Spoiler on the windscreen

Hi I have tried the Touratec spoiler, the Laminar Lip, an Aerotrim and the MRA. In fact my screen still bears the remnants of the mounting kits for each! The Touratec was OK but I didn't like the mounting bracket in the middle of the screen. The Laminar Lip and the Aerotrim, I found both next...

    Replacement Horns

Thanks all very much for the diagrams and the advice. I'm almost there now and have devised a mounting bracket to go from the same location as in Stu's post but is bent enough to site the horns completely in the upper air duct of the side panels. Totally out of sight. I made them out of some...

    Replacement Horns

Thanks all for your help. Yes I had planned to use a fused wire from the battery to the relay and find an earth on the frame. I was mainly after which wires go where on the relay. I have also looked at siting them by the top of the oil cooler but really wanted them hidden away. I like a bit of...

    Replacement Horns

GT-RX Thanks for your reply. I've searched the site as best I can as you say there are a lot of posts but I can't find a simple wiring diagram for wiring in 2 horns. I don't need the bikes full wiring chart. Sorry to be so 'high maintenance'. Best regards Nik

    Replacement Horns

Hi Am putting a pair of horns on my Stelvio. Two horns, 4 pin relay, lots of wire. Am going to try and fit them in the upper air duct in the side fairing covers, may need to create a mounting bracket as there's nothing near to fasten them to. Anyone have a wiring diagram/ hints+ tips please...

    MRA VarioTouring windshield extension

Hi I've tried them all. Laminar lip, Aerotrim and the MRA. The first two didn't do anything really but the MRA does the job. I have mine clamped on and have the extension bars between the clamps and the MRA screen itself. Both are additional to the screen. I have had no problems with security...

    Had it with the Hugger

Hi Rosey and Pete Seen one somewhere that is fixed to the top rod on the CARC looked quite smart but I'm sorry I can't remember which site I saw it on, apologies. I have a Skidmarx one and have not had any problems so far apart from having to shave some off so it didn't foul the inside of the...

    Stucchi Luigi Belly Pan woes

HI Thanks very much Gerrit I tried to fit it in this position but the OEM bolts were too long by about 5+ml. Are your front mounting bolts standard as they are different to mine. I have 10ml standard head bolts not Allan key headed bolts. Thanks for your help so far. best regards Nik
