I am 6ft 2, 32 inch leg. I put the MFW vario pegs on mine. 30mm drop. These can be rotated, so you can have higher, lower, back and forward.
I have mine set so they are a little back from straight down. I have never scrapped them. I guess I dont push that hard. The stock pegs have hero blobs...
I dropped my pegs by 1 inch. I dont have clearance issues, though I dont quite use all my tyre either. On a roundabout my foot will sometimes dragg if a keep my instep on the peg.
Thanks for the replies all.
I have an aftermarket pipe on now which only seems half the weight of the Termi one. The Griso seems to running really well, but the Termi pipe just looks so good.
I will put it on today on see how we go.
So I have a Termig pipe arrived for my 8v Griso. It is heavier than I imagined. Should I be taking oout stuff like the cat and baffles, or is it just that heavy!!
It does look awesome.
Hi there. I have a 2009 8v. I am the same height as you and 230lbs. I paid £40 to get my suspension professionaly set up. I would highly recommend.
I have a 955i Sprint as well. I take the Griso every time, unless it is wet. I have just come back from a week in France travelling from the UK. I...
I got a pair of the two inch pegs. I feel that only need to be slightly longer than stock so 2 inch should be fine. The main issue is the brake lever feeling a little high with the lower foot pegs.
Hello all,
This is a simple question regarding changing the toe pegs after installing lowered pegs.
I have some of the Knight design one's coming.
It looks like there is a grub? screw with an allen head that needs to be loosened . Does that come out all the way?
Then it looks like a...
I have been getting a warning light on the dash to do with the indicators. It does not happen all the time but is regular.
Seems to be the back left hand indicator. It stops working, then starts again. Probably a loose connection, but being a novice I dont know where to start. Anyone else had...
On a recent group ride a few of the guys said my brake light kept coming on and off.
It seems the front brake lever is activating it when on bumpy roads, and we have lots of those.
The nut and bolt are tight for the lever. The lever does move a bit though.
Has any one else had this problem...
So I am putting the longer spacer on the muffler side. I have ordered longer bolts as the one that came is too short to accommodate the spacer and muffler. Looks like a need a 75-80mm bolt. It is difficult to line up and get in with the hugger.
Thanks all. I am fitting these now. Could someone please confirm that the 4 silver fixing bolts are replaced with the rack.
Also please confirm which side the longer spacer goes on. I could probably make it go on either side.
Hi,
I just received a pannier kit, used, for my Griso. The only instructions I can find are to fit the panniers onto the rack. Does anyone have instructions on fitting the rack to the bike. Its looks straight forward, but it would be good to be sure all the washers, spaces etc are in the right...
That is a good set up and certainly makes the power outlet more versatile. I already had a Tom Tom rider so was pleased to learn a cable/plug was already there. I only found this out after I hard wired one to the battery!
I do think it would have been far more beneficial for MG to include a 12v...
