    Griso 1100 Agostini Exhaust

I bought my '07 Griso 1100 in Dec 2011. 4,500 miles on the odo. Original owner put on a Staintune. I never really liked the looks of the Staintune (the "can" style shape in general just doesn't look right to me on this bike) and it always had a little crack near the mounting bracket that I lived...

Street Skills Riding Academy @ New York Safety Track in 2016

Happy New Year Guzzi Riders! See the January 2016 MGNOC newsletter for a write up on my Street Skills Riding Academy. It explains a lot, but below is some more info. This is an overview, not my formal information for registered participants: The track is the New York Safety Track near...

Accent Lighting (Pimp Lights) on Griso

Well. It just happened. A friend of mine told me he bought ten bucks worth of red LED light strips off the internet and was coming over to install them. He's an electrical guru and I've seen his work on his ST1300. He's set up another buddy with an Sprint GT. I never thought I'd like these...

    Lever Guards (Protectors)

Be careful what you ask for! Short answer: They look cool. Long answer: Since they started selling Italian motorcycles the past couple years, I've been visiting a Guzzi dealer in Buffalo (http://www.kwbuffalo.com/). Of course, the Guzzi's were my main motivation. He also sells MV...

    Lever Guards (Protectors)

I agree that would be ideal. Not having touched this product in the real world I don't know how it comes apart. Ideally, it would be great to remove screw, ditch the expander guts, and run the stock allen bolt back through. These Acerbis ones are expensive. Amazon ones are around $30. I...

    Lever Guards (Protectors)

Anyone put lever guards on their Griso? I'm considering putting something like this on my '07. One issue I see is having to "drill out" the stock handlebars' threaded plug if I were to be able to insert the universal expanding fitting. Any advice on removing this threaded plug without ruining...

harbor freight BMW rear wheel balancing adapter

Ok. I finally got around to using this balancer. Very simple to modify for Griso use. :P In photo below, you will see the original package bolts are too short. Go to a hardware store and buy size M10 1.5 x 70mm. Then, use the OEM wedge shaped washers from the original lug bolts with this...

    Griso missing exhaust header bolt!

Definitely over thinking on my part. But at least I learned something. I removed the one outer remaining nut on right header, pulled collar back and found header pipe secured tightly in position. Figured why mess with it. Then put a new nut and washers on stud just sitting there waiting to...

    Griso missing exhaust header bolt!

Guy at the coffee shop suggested I remove collar, check gasket, etc...so thought I'd ask group...my inclination would be to replace bolt and washers and re-torque...wasn't sure if I could just use any bolt/washer combo too. Curious to know if I caused any damage also. I'm pretty stupid...

    Griso missing exhaust header bolt!

Short version: I've been riding around for a while with a missing exhaust header bolt on the right cylinder on my 07 Griso. I'm now looking at an exhaust leak. How should I proceed to rectify situation?

    Griso vibration / helmet buffeting

Sometimes I wonder if I have ADHD. I rode the Griso yesterday with an old jacket. Calm as ever. I checked bearings and tires. Nothing out of the ordinary. Next ride will be with the new jacket. Either that jacket is causing issues or we had two days of strange wind conditions. Bottom line...

    Griso vibration / helmet buffeting

After one year and 6000 miles of laser sharp handling on the Griso, yesterday and today I'm noticing a slight vibration / helmet buffeting issue. It's driving me crazy! I'm in investigation mode, but thought I'd throw this out to the group while I mull over it at a family picnic I...

    Griso in the rain issues

The burnt smell returned in dry weather. This never happened to recollection until recently on the Griso, but my VStrom has gone on and off over the seven years I've owned it. I'm not concerned about that. The bike ran flawlessly last night at idle and at speed. If I get the wet weather low...

    Griso in the rain issues

FYI, I have a manual shut off for my stepper motor. In fact, when I noticed the low idle after the stall I opened my valve to feed air to the stepper and it did improve some. I'm just fearful a bit because I heard Guzzis have issues with moisture. Thanks, btw...

    Griso in the rain issues

My 2007 Griso doesn't see much rain. I have other bikes for those days. However, I have had some recent questions the group might have answers to. Last weekend I rode to a Guzzi rally. It was very foggy and wet weather. But not really "raining" when I rode the bike. Just mist and...

    Swingarm Bearings

Is there a thread on what to do here and how to do it? I have my Griso off the road for the next three months. My only project planned right now is fork oil change, as it still has stock oil from 2007? I could fit in this maintenance if I can just get an idea of what is involved. I have...

My first Guzzi - 1yr 35,000 miles later.

Not sure if this applies to 8V motors, but I solved my idle problem on my '07 with a manual shut off valve. See thread here: https://www.guzzitech.com/component/jm ... html?f=163

    Griso oil cooler hose

I've noticed certain Grisos don't have a visible hose going from the engine to the oil cooler. Anyone know why that is? Is the oil cooler cut out of the system without it? My '07 on the right has one. The other guy's 8V doesn't.
