Mark Salkeld who posts here as Mark III has had a bad crash down on the south coast and has been airlifted to Canberra where he's in ICU with a punctured lung and some broken bones.
Wishing him the best and a full recovery.
ATGATT. Mostly. 8-)
When it's over 32 degrees here I try NOT to ride. I have one of those Ixon jackets with the removable panels for summer with mesh front and back and in the arms, which is fine at highway speeds, but around town you don't get up to enough speed for the wind blast to do...
Do those things actually work? My Griso fell off it's stand when gravel gave way under it. The left valve cover was scratched and gouged, mirror bent and gear lever pin busted. Those things look like they would bend. Would they have saved my valve cover or broken it?
Yesterday I watched in horror as my Griso fell off its side stand. A combination of gravel and a slight downhill incline. I had only got off her to open a gate. I checked to make sure she was secure, then as I was opening the gate, she slowly rolled forward and onto her left side. Aargh! :o...
I'm currently in Cairns on hols and I spotted a black Griso on The Esplanade yesterday about 0945. The bike had a black sheepskin seatcover. Anyone here?
I got a pair of the 2 inch toe pegs. I also replaced my 1 inch lowered foot pegs with 2 inch lowered pegs. The combination works really well. I'm 6' 2" and found the extra leg room over the 1" lower pegs far better. I'm not worried about scraping - my boy racer days are far behind me. The...
Re: Griso Picture Thread
Ooh..maybe. Jingellic is only 140km from here. I have plans but they may change yet.
Will it be a Gentleman's weekend of quiet repose and thoughtful discussion, or an orgy of drunken debauchery?
Yeah, I had the CARC bracket for my Skidmarx powdercoated. It was supposed to be flat but ended up gloss. I didn't argue because it didn't cost me anything. I think the bottom bracket needs to be 5mm shorter to better clear the rear tyre. Regardless, I still think I want one of them Stucchi...
I like it a lot. I've got a Skidmarx for my Griso but it kinda looks shite with the way it attaches, so I haven't put it on. That Stucchi one is much neater.
What stops it from moving up or down the torque arm?
Re: Where are all the ride reports from the southern hemisph
I haven't been well enough to ride for the last 2 months, so no riding means no reports or pics. I hope to get back on this weekend.
Just so you know, it never gets cold enough here to not ride..hehe..
