What did you do to your Moto Guzzi today?

I changed my oils for the 7.5k service. It was a bit of a hassle to replace the gearbox plug as I had to play with the exhaust crossover tube. Any tips here? I also replaced the round reflected with one I bought online. I like it.

What did you do to your Moto Guzzi today?

Road through the gorge again today. Lovely twisting road. Almost due for 7500 km service. The Demons I put on last month are behaving poorly after 3000 km. Googling other tyre choices for the V7C but can't see much else on offer. Any suggestions? I'll search the forum meanwhile. Richard

What did you do to your Moto Guzzi today?

Got my new plate today. The quality is not what I expected but it looks better than standard. Fitted it then took it for a 200 km ride. I've only done 2000 kilometres on the Pirelli Demons but they look half worn! I thought I saw here that some one got 10,000 k's. I won't unfortunately...

Cleaned up the license plate mount

Hi Pokeyjoe, how easy was it to shorten the indicator lights? What was involved? It looks much better than standard. I like what you have done to the licence plate mount too.

What did you do to your Moto Guzzi today?

Fitted the fork gaiters to the V7c. They look great . It was an interesting project working out how to take the forks off and such. Ordered a custom black and white number plate with the registration MGV7C. That should look cool. Really enjoying the new sports demon tyres. I see they are...

    V7 Classic fork oil

Thanks for your replies. I googled Oetiker stepless ear clamps and that sure looks like them. I'll try to find a tool now I know what I'm looking for. Appreciate your help. Postscript. Okay, so that was easy. I ended up using a pair of nail pullers quite successfully to squeeze the clamps tight.

    V7 Classic fork oil

Okay, so that was easy, I just tapped them up and off they came but what is the story with the clamps to hold the gaiters on? I can't work out how to get a tight fit.

    V7c Valve Clearance

Thanks heaps John. Yes John, that is the valve covers. I am also wondering why the valve clearances are different. quote="john zibell"]Take a look at page 2-3 of the workshop manual. The translation from Italian to English is horrible, but the intake is 0.006 inch or 0.15mm, and the exhaust...

    V7c Valve Clearance

Just got my V7c and like other posts used to have a R90/6 and like to do my own service (First one cost over $400 with labour at $90/hr :o ). How do you set get the torque settings right. I thought it was 7 lbs but my torque wrench is not that accurate. I was going to go with 0.1 and 0.15mm as...
