    Big Gal Gone.

38000 kms. on the Big Gal. I am sure she is going to make the next owner very happy. Todd. It feels wee but is the new 1000. And, I saw your fly and ride add. There could be a winter cruiser ride in my future. ;)
  2. Toadride

    Big Gal Gone.

Yes, she is gone. I will miss her. Having served her purpose as a long distance, comfortable, high speed cruiser ( full of bugs but all swatted) I decided to downsize a bit. Test drove this: and I just have to say, the nimbleness of this bike made it feel like a 500. Anyhoo, the trade is done...

    EBC Discs

Mine did warp early and MG refused to warranty. Todd replaced them and verified that it was not the bobbins but truly warped. :D

    heated grips

That's interesting. Mine is a 2012 and heated grip switch works any time the motor is running. Guess they fixed that glitch. ;)

Direct wired Oxfords into mine. Work great. :D

Will I Be Glad I Bought One?

Having come from an F800GS myself I have to tell you that you will be surprised at the off road handling of this bike. Where the F8 was squirrelly at times, The Ntx was rock solid. I think it's the weight. :P

    Back to the Lowering Question.

I am certainly looking for direction. And, as always Todd, appreciate your knowledge on any subject.

    Back to the Lowering Question.

Found the page on ADV with the photos of shock/swingarm contact. advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=21548415 These are prolly extremes but I would still hate to find out this was the case after replacing the shock.

    Back to the Lowering Question.

I've not gotten anywhere trying to sell the Stelvio. And to be honest with you all, I think the real reason I got it into my head to sell was the height question. There's just no way I am ready for any low assed cruiser (NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!!) but the instability I get with my short assed legs...

Tightening a mirror on its post or stem

Give em time. They'll eventually do this. And end up like this.

Replacement Aux Lights for the NTX

Re: replacement NTX aux lamps They are NOT going to last. Period! The vibration down there will even break the mounts. And I can only remember using mine once when the bike was new. And the wires burned thru my case anyways.

Going All In - Software + Hardware Upgrades

Justifying the upgrades to SHMBO? Easy. 1. Think of the thousands saved yearly by not smoking or if that's not possible, 2. think of the thousands saved by buying the MG at 16000 all in over a 1200 Beemer. :D

    Stelvio NTX . ECU .

Not far to look. He's GT-Rx. Todd Egan. Kinda looks like this guy. :ugeek:
  15. Toadride

    Stelvio NTX . ECU .

Having queried Todd extensively on these things, I think the answer about repair is a definite no. Solid state filled with resin. I'm sure he can fix you up with a replacement tho. :D

    How to Change a Lightbulb.

Have u run HIDs Todd? To no ill effect? :?:

    How to Change a Lightbulb.

First you take (insert ethnic group)...haha, no kidding really. But, after 32000kms of the "shakes" it looks like one has finally gone. My Beemer didn't last half that long. And I haven't noticed anyone discussing an upgrade bulb here. Prolly cause with those big beams, it really isn't...

    Those Crazy Customer Care Rascals.

These guys are hard to figure, but there it is. With several warranty issues I have been refused on the ones that count. And then there's the one I don't need. Right off the sales floor it was apparent that the windshield was out of whack on mine. And like several others that were reported, it...

    CARC Check

Bike's back, seal replaced, everything SWEEEET!..again. Weather around here is heating up and so are the gas prices. Paid a phenom price for a tank fill today. $39. That's 25 liters at $1.52 a liter. Ouch. Just glad it wasn't the Monster Truck. :P
