No René, the only tyres I had on my bike were Michelin Pilot Road, Pilot Road 2 and these Pirelli Angel ST.
I can't say if the Pirellis are better than the Michelins. For me they are equal for riding and wear. Also on the twisty roads in Portugal the Pirellis gave lots of confidence. If you ever...
Before my trip to Portugal, I replaced front and rear Michelin Pilot Road 2 after 17500 km. They were not at their end, but wouldn't last another 6000 km. The dealer had the Pirelli Angel ST available. They came good out of road tests by motormagazines. Now I'm back in Holland after 17 days and...
You've beaten me with that article Holt, was also in a Dutch magazin, Michelin and Pirelli came out best.
My B 11 started on Michelin Pilot Road and after 14000 km changed both front and rear for Michelin Pilot Road 2.
I like them after 10.000 km still going strong... :)
And a welcome from the Low countries too (unne Ollander....)
I'm also lucky to have an expert-dealership nearby.
I hope you'll have lots of fun riding your Guzzi for years to come. There are a lot of Guzzisti in Belgium.
;) Ciao Dolf.
I've never adjusted the fork pre-load on my Breva, but as far as I can read in the manual: turn the bolts back to minimum pre-load and then turn them 8,5 times for the standard pre-load. No clicks just by counting the turns.
At the rearshock you can hear and feel the clicks for pre-load and...
Looking at the avatar, stelvio handguards....
My grips get pretty hot, original Guzzi, perfect for baking Pizza.
I'm afraid you're in the Ice-age....
I'm using it for charging my Nokia cellphone during vacations. The plug stays in perfectly. It's connected directly to the battery, so when I switch the motor off, it'll still be loading my cellphone. Just watch out with "heavier" stuff than a cellphone when you stall your engine...... :!:
My 2008 Breva 1100 gives me lots of pleasure. 23000 km now and still going strong. Just the bolt of the centrestand came loose once. My dash doesn't leak, no red triangle warnings, no flat battery after a loooonngg winter.... sorry a bit boaring.
Average fuel consumption 1 litre on 17.94 km last...
I've got a sunvisor in my helmet that I can flip up and down. Clear sight and looking at the dash is no problem, because I can look at it from underneath the visor when it is down. Easy to use riding in and out of tunnels. :D
The exhaust system of the 1200 is different from the 1100 as far as I know, for the 1100 it's "normal" to get liverspots after some time. I polished the pipes once till they got the shiny chrome-look again and after a while the liverspots returned and I learned to live with it. :| It takes to...
Thanks for sharing this info, it doesn't sound like a roadside job....
Why these PITA constructions to change a simple lightbulb...
Same problem with a lot of modern cars, not talking about Xenon... just try to reach a bulb under the hood.
René, when you're visiting the Low Countries during Easter, monday the 5th TLM in Nijmegen has Demoday from 10-16 hrs.
They are not really open for service, but mechanics are present that day and maybe they can give it a look and some advice.
Don't know if you can fit this into your...
Great pictures and report, as far as my knowledge of the french language goes. One picture looked very familiar to my first holiday on a Guzzi in 2006..... in the summer of course.. :P
These are interesting things to learn about other countries around the world. :geek:
Every country/gouvernement has it's good and minor points in every aspect of the community I guess.
It's what you are used to live with...
