I got it running .... was starving fuel .
I cleaned the petcock and replaced few fuel lines and she started right away.... fuel pump still noisy , have to figure out why.

i made a video .... you can hear the the engine start for a fraction of a second then die.....
Spark plugs smell gas , so i "assume " gas is getting in there.
took off the air box, completely, and found fuel of the right...
i remember the first attempt , the bike started running for few seconds but did not hold the idle and died.
Pulled the plugs and they were dark / fouled.
I smelled gas .
Then i put a brand new set of plugs and i smell gas but not as much as when it ran .
I am going to crank the bike without plug...
yes , sorry i did not mention bike " ran when parked " , and i do not know how long has been sitting at idle but i do not think more than a year .
I am NEW to EFI motorcycles , this is my very first and i am just getting familiar with it.

I just got a 98 cali ev
new battery , new plugs , gas in the tank.
I hit the start button ,bike wants to start but it does not fire up.
I can hear the fuel pump running, and spark plugs do spark.
I checked every wire and connection and fuses and everything looks good.
what else should...

To register a motorcycle you have to provide an US Driver license ,and proof of insurance.
If you're not a US resident or a US non immigrant resident ( temporary resident ) , are you sure you can register a bike in the US on your name ?

i got two springs , one short , one long i think it's called "dual rate springs set up " .
Was already in there , and everything is in great condition, i just replaced the original dumper with a set of FAC.

I was installing a set of FAC fork dumper on my bike ( was the first time i took apart the forks) and i discovered that the previous owner cut the tab off the fork spring seat, you know , those things that prevent the springs to spin .
Anyway i was wondering if anyone know where i can...
Difference between the 1000sp and cali 3 are "visible" round cylinder vs square .
I believe the bore and stroke is the same 88mmx78mm
The square heads should have bigger valve , they use 36mm carbs.
HP should be 67 the cali , 61 the sp .
Top speed i think the cali is faster..
