it'll run smooth out of balance, but the lean side will run hot and the rich side cool(er). I've gotten decent milage with throttle bodies very off balance but I did get oil temp faults when idling. Generally you'll be down on horse power milage will be a little down and it's hard on the valves.
Working on getting my Centauro road worthy again. Lubricating the swing arm is on the list of to-do's.
Advice on rear drive and swingarm removal appreciated.
I may be the last person on earth to not see this as an obvious procedure.
Thank you,
Kurt
Brian Thank you, good suggestions. I removed all the plastics including the lights, to get to the wiring. I've disconnected, cleaned, and reconnected everything on that circuit, to include unstrapping and re-strapping the harness. So basically, I've mostly taken the harness out and reinstalled...
Appreciate advice/opinions
I've got a short some where in the main wiring harness (I think).
Problem:
With the ignition in the ON position, press start ... B fuse opens.
The B fuse (starter relay) is 12V on one side, ground on the other.
I've disconnected the right handle bar switch ...
Survey says inlet valve bent!
How did it happen? clearly I was not paying attention during the adjustment. I'm guessing I was TDC on the non-firing cycle or maybe I wasn't even near TDC.
Luckily the piston is in good condition and Norge heads are relatively easy to remove. This is an...
John,
The inlet valve is defiantly not closing I can visually see that the valve stem isn't traveling as far as the other three valves (I suspect it's bent). I attempted to reset it 3 or 4 times with the same results.
I've got what I need to remove the head. My concern is that I may have...
Rafeal,
1. The air box was cleaned when the air filter was replaced, also drained the collection tube.
2. It fails to idle with both hot and cold engine.
3. The airbox was off to replace the inner plugs. I immediately suspected that a manifold boot wasn't seated properly but have checked it...
1. It was running properly prior to the service.
2. The plug has a little oil build up but has a good strong spark.
3. No vacuum leak at the manometer. no idle with the manometer out and everything connected correctly.
Ok looking for some suggestions on where to look next.
I'm working on completing the 25,000 mile service on my 08 Norge (I've completed all the previous services). the Norge ran well prior to the service.
The last two items on my service list are throttle body balance and CO trim. I assembled...
John,
It is in the Norge Service manual (CHAR-12). There's only one spec. It did sound a bit high but it may be that mechanical offset of using the belt adjustment tool reduces the actual torque applied to the belt (i'm just guessing here.)
Kurt
For those of you with experience conducting the 12,500 service on the Norge, I'm interested in your opinion on weather or not it's easier to remove the engine to replace the inner plugs and torque the timing belt, or if busting some knuckles with the engine in is a better option.
I've read a...
I've got the same issue with the side stand and have also lost a center stand bolt.
Does anyone have a parts diagram for an '08 Norge they can share? I'd really like to see weather or not MG intended for there to be one or two bolts holding the side stand plate to the block.
Additionally, a...
