I found a source for Hella bar-end signals, as found on /2 BMWs from the 1960s. They have both front and rear lenses, and carry a 12V 18 watt bulb.
Is there any reason these wouldn't be a direct install on my '08 1200 Sport? The stock signal lights carry 10 watt bulbs.
Thanks!
Deryl
I have a 1200 Sport that will need clutch servicing soon. Looking for input from more experienced Guzzistas -- Continue with stock clutch, or is there a hot aftermarket setup? What about flywheel lightening while in there?
Very nice project! Where did you source the 1400 cylinders and pistons? What mods were needed to use them with the Griso motor? Would they fit a 2V 1200 Sport?
Deryl
I bought my '08 1200 Sport gently used and without a centrestand. There is, of course, a factory-option stand, and I am thinking of ordering one. However, it seems to me that I heard years ago that the stands on this particular model tended to touch down early when cornering.
Any truth to...
I have a wonderful '08 1200 Sport, and I have a curiosity question.
In neutral at a stop, the idle is around 1100 RPM. If I disengage the clutch, the idle is around 1100. But if I disengage the clutch and put it into first, the idle is around 1400. Whassup?
Thanks!
PS. Great riding here in...

More than welcome to join the Jack Shit Run 2014 -- leaving Turner Valley, AB on Friday, July 11, and staying at the Leland Hotel in Nakusp on the Friday and Saturday nights. This annual run has a 25 year plus history, and we'll have around 35 riders this year. Let me know, plus T-shirt size...
You may want to replace drain plugs with Dimple brand magnetic plugs. Super strong magnets! They also make magnets to put on the exterior of oil filters. A bit pricey, but there for the life of the bike, of course! :D
I wanted to add my beautiful black 2008 1200 Sport to the list -- I'll send a picture after all of the snow melts...
