Norge - clicking main injector relay

Glad to hear this was the solution, I had an 'interesting' time with my 1200 Breva over the summer with the ECU Disconnected error and it was a mildy tarnished (Note : NOT corroded) ECU earth tag. I have come to the following conclusions; 1. After pulling all the connectors none of them were...

    Europ assistance

There's nothing so frustrating than a puncture!! That's interesting, as all of the 'assistance' policies I've had over the years would have covered you for a puncture, and I assumed that I was covered when using this one when the 1200 was new..... good job I didn't need it then!! I guess the...

    Guzzi hard pannier locks

I have a set of Guzzi hard panniers on my 1200 Breva, which I think from memory were of 1100 Breva vintage (bought 2nd hand), and have managed to snap the only key, (don't ask....... the only upside is that it didn't happen last week on my trip to the Alps...). My questions to the assembled...

Need to lower footpegs on a Norge. Any info ?

There's a link about fitting lower pegs to 1200 Sports from Buell sourced bits for about £35, complete with part numbers and instructions on the 1200 Sport Forum here; http://www.1200sport.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=177 I've done this to my 1200 Breva which I presume has the same footrests...

    New'ish Italian bike magazine

http://www.italianmotormagazine.com/ITA ... AZINE.html Just got issue 2 of this, and it is a great read, even better than Iss 1, really enthusiastic Italianphile. Good Guzzi stuff, and also general Italian stuff, including cars and tiddlers, and not a Ducati owners club mag...... A bit more...

    *&$!@ Ducati!

I think you may have to explain the '57' bit to our colonial cousins....... The Multi is a very clever bit of kit, but it is eye wateringly expensive..... Last month's Bike magazine ran a test between it and the GS1200 and the new Yamaha Super Tenere......

    1200 sport footpegs

There is a thread on the 1200Sport forum about installing Buell pegs with the part numbers, (about £35 in the UK) which just need a bit of filing/grinding/machining (select the available method!). I've done it on my Breva 1200 with a switch to Aprilia Mana bars as well, and it has worked well...

    Breva 1100 or Norge Luggage

For what it's worth I've done about 1500 miles in wet weather, a lot of it at motorway/Autoroute speeds, and my MG panniers are warped, but because the seals are so deep they don't let much water in, if any at all, but I always put stuff in black bin bags..... As for the handle/lock areas...

    New Goose with screen question

Oh no, another screen post, they are close to achieving oil thread status  Thankfully there are lots folk who have tried different options here.... The Guzzi screen and laminar lip does it for me...... Oh and I've now fitted Mana bars too, which helps more for me as you are then leaning...

A Breva at Bonneville!! (or: "the Route.." part 2))

Re: A Breva at Bonneville!! (cross-posting) Looks like you had a cracking trip! An Alpine/high pass trip is on my list, I think I'll 'favourite' this one for some future tips! Have you thought about tweaking the pegs on your Breva? I've swapped the bars and pegs on my 1200 (Mana bars and...

Trip to Italy & the Guzzi Factory

Got back from our 16 day trip from Blighty to Tuscany and back via Lake Como. Great roads, scenery, food, people, villages, where do I stop.... Photos can be found here, the Museum is first..... http://www.flickr.com/photos/2005rkc/

    Breva 1200

Jock, Aplogies, but I've been on holiday, have you sorted the service code out yet? I think it's 28315, the Norge one, as the 1200 Breva is the same 2 valve Norge engine, I'm sure it's what I used last time. Cheers, Neil

So tell me what you do like.

I like that fact that I go riding and feel different, in the UK it's sports bikes or BM GSs (they seem to ride in wallets, the collective noun for BMs.. ). People look at the Breva and double take because they don't know what it is.... But it's gorgeous looks always catch their eyes...

    MG Heated Grips....

Thanks Rafael, a mate's got the Oxford grips and they do push out a fair bit more heat. I'm actually wondering if this is more down to how cold it is relatively this year, and that I am running these summer gloves from the start, rather than using my old winter gloves at the start of the riding...

    Breva 1200

Well from where I've been sitting for the thick end of 6k miles, it looks like I've got me a big jar of pigshit strawberry jam........ :D

    Breva 1200

With the standard MG screen I had a lot of helmet buffeting over 70mph (on the Continent of course...). After fitting the Laminar Lip, it is a lot better, and most notably my visor is a lot cleaner, which is a good tell tale that my head is clean air. There don't seem to any handling quirks like...

    MG Heated Grips....

Thanks for the tips guys, I'm a mechanical guy, this electrical stuff is the work of bealzebub!! If I get time, I'll have a look over the weekend and see if there are any obvious problems. Cheers Neil
