    V7 Mk III Scrambler?

Hi all, I've had a 2009 Griso for about 10 years and am still thrilled with it. I've started to have a wandering eye though while passing on by easy fire roads. The Stornello seems to command a lot of dough if you can find one and V7 III's are on a great sale right now. I want to do a...

    Banged Up The Griso

My 8v was considered a total by Geico after a gravel lowside in Oregon. It had a hole in the valve cover with gravel inside, minor scrapes on tank and lefy pod, no frame damage, no head damage although the repair shop put one in the bid. The estimate was $8500, so it was considered a total due...

    Pete gets a prize!

It turns out there's a goat embargo to Austrailia. So Pete, pick your farkle. Would you want the Jpguzzi oil cooler cover? Anything else I can do? Not sure. Send me a PM. Cheers mate! John B Oregon

    Pete gets a prize!

Thanks Phang. I forgot about his goat addiction. Can a live goat be sent FedEx? What are the dimensions of said PO Box?

    Pete gets a prize!

So Roper sent me a spark plug wire kit from NGK I finally got around to installing. I had the supposed updated MG wires which shorted to the head resulting in an 8 day head scratching fest at my local dealer. The kit fit awesome and should have been the factory update. Soooo, looks like I...

    G8V FI failure?

It had the replacement plug wires installed at the time of the cam recall about 12k miles ago.

    G8V FI failure?

Problem solved. After leaving the bike at Cascade MC for 8 days with no results, I brought the bike home, vowing never to frequent their shop again. After 1.5 hr diagnosis, I found the spark plug had carbonized due to the boot arcing to ground. Problem solved. I had not touched the plug wire...

    G8V FI failure?

There was a tiny hole found at the bottom of the boot. A temporary repair was made with electrical tape, but it still runs poorly at lower rpm and dies at idle. There are no error codes on the dash or Axeone.

    G8V FI failure?

So my bike came to a sudden stop a couple weeks back. Won't idle, but fired up at 40% throttle and limped home. Seems to fire on only the left cylinder and will idle if the right spark plug is removed, defeating the purpose of a V twin ;) I take it to my local MG genuises and it seems there...

    Noisy Griso

Mine doesn't make that noise. Pete is obviously the expert, but I would get a stethascope and see if you can narrow down the source. It sounds like a con rod to me, but that's just based on the audio file. If it's still under warranty I would demand the motor be yanked for inspection. Maybe...

Must do mods for Griso owners!

Here's another must do: Safety wire the headlight bezel to the bucket by drilling a hole at the base. There is only 1 screw holding it in and when it falls out it will ruin your day!

    ZARD slip-on

The circlip is really tough to remove even when it"s not tack welded. Can you see any spot welds there? Having pressure inwards on the end will help to remove it as it sits real tight against the clip. If you did manage to remove it and messed up the db killer, you can get the round one...

    ZARD slip-on

That new Todd pipe looks great! This is how I run the Zard around town with the db killer in for low speed manners, but it comes out with the circlip for best hp. I've got the pete loaded 068 too, so should run the same.

    8 valve exhaust

Ha, I always liked the look of the 8v exhaust, but it weighs about 30 lbs. It will flow better than the 1100 pipe though. I have a Zard w/ db killer now. Would be glad to get 300 euro for that stock pipe though!

    Griso Suspension sag.

Front and rear sag need to be 25-30 mm with the rider on board. In stock form, there wasn't enough front sag for me but the rear was fine.

    Griso Suspension sag.

I weigh 200 lbs and had to back front preload out to 7 lines showing. The stock settings made the bike reluctant to turn in and wide corner exits.

    Li-ion batts...calling the clam

I picked up an 8 cell ballistic battery with the new case for 2 bills. It can start my aprillia mille which amounts to a 10 lb weight reduction. I put it in my 'berg sm bike and it didn't charge enough to restart after a 20 minute ride. It has unique charging characteristics. The full...

    cam cover condensation

I think a score mark on the under side of the valve cover is used to indicate the cam recall has been done. Not sure why it would be there on a 2010 model, but it may have been done at the factory. Don't be suprised if the valve clearance is very loose. I run mine + .05 mm from spec. They are...

    Nose Fairing

Stucchi makes a mini fairing. I have one on my bike. Check mgcycle.com or google Luigi Stucchi for their website.
