  • There is ZERO tolerance on personal attacks and ANY HYPERLINKS to PRODUCT(S) or other competing website(s), including personal pages, social media or other Forums. This ALSO INCLUDES ECU DIAGnostic software, questions and mapping. We work very hard to offer commercially supported products and to keep info relevant here. First offense is a note, second is a warning, third time will get you banned from the site. We don't have the time to chase repeat (and ignorant) offenders. Be sure to see the GTM STORE link above; ALL product purchases help support the site, or you can upgrade your Forum profile or DONATE via the link above.
  • Be sure to see the GTM STORE link also above for our 700+ product inventory, including OEM parts and many of our 100% Made-in-SoCal-USA GTM products and engine kits. In SoCal? WE'RE HERE ONLINE ONLY - NO PHONE CALLS MADE OR RECEIVED - DO NOT EMAIL AND ASK QUESTIONS OR ASK TO CALL YOU.
  • Like the new V100, GuzziTech is full throttle into the future! We're now running on an all-new server and we've updated our Forum software. The visual differences are obvious, but hopefully you'll notice the super-fast speed. If you notice any glitches or have any issues, please post on the Site Support section at the bottom. If you haven't yet, please upgrade your account which is covered in the Site Support section or via the DONATE tab above, which gives you full site access including the DOWNLOADS section. Cali forks stuck in triple trees

Probably just corrosion, particularly if the tubes were in need of re-chroming. I would always reassemble them with copperslip in the clamps.

Ever see a worse clutch than this?

I had one go like that on a Cali Stone. I reckon it went on a sudden gear change on the Splugen pass in heavy traffic. I made it all the way home via Roscoff. Any more than gentle throttle caused clutch slip, so avoiding that I got really good fuel consumption. That was a 2003 bike and the plate...

Top speed hit on your Guzzi

Back in 1990 on my 1988 Spada Mk II, on the A303 in Hampshire, UK, I got clocked at 123mph. It was a speed trap, one cop on a bridge over the road, the other in a car parked 2 miles further on. I wasn't flat on the tank by a long way. Touring fairing and luggage. It cost me fine and a 2 week ban.

Changing large seal in final drive

It doesn't need a special tool to remove that inner bearing. Strip the rear drive box, degrease, and place open side down in the kitchen oven, (at about gas mark 5). Just as the first whiffs of oil smoke begin to spread (and alert anybody in the house who would disapprove) You'll hear a clunk...

    Spada rear caliper alignment

Thanks John. I've fiddled with it a bit more and took the two 0.5mm shims from one front caliper and tried those in it. Problem solved. :D

    Spada rear caliper alignment

Hi. I'm getting close to completeing my rebuild of an '81 Spada as a G5. The rear caliper is completely rebuilt, seals, pads, pistons etc. But on bolting it on, though it slides over the disc easily, as the bolts holding it to the caliper mount are tightened, the disc binds. It dosn't lock up...

    Best base for a Caferacer

As Guzziology will reveal, there are at least 3 different swing arm lengths. T3, T4, Spada, are shortest, Spada II longer, 1100 Calilongest. As I recall.
