    2005 Breva pre purchase questions

I owned a 2007 Norge for several years. It had basically the same engine as the 2005 Breva you're looking at. My Norge was possessed of electrical demons, which may not affect your earlier model Breva with fewer gimmicks such as power windshield. Even so, it was a magnificent machine which I...

Advice please on a Breva 750

I put 50,000 additional - and 100 % trouble-free - miles on a used 2004 Breva 750. It is in the top three joy-makers among all my many motorbikes. You'll love yours too. Along the way I gathered many helpful accessory & maintenance tips into an on-line text file. Here is the link...

    That Infernal Service Light

I owned a 2007 Norge and loved it, although it was plagued with electrical gremlins, including the red service light that frequently came on as you mentioned. Some 2007 Norge have had oil pump failures, but not mine: The Prescott, AZ, Guzzi dealer verified that I had the specified engine oil...

    Norge 2008 oil issues

My 2007 Norge had a rotted, leaking valve-cover vent hose. They're hard to see, being inside the Vee between the cylinders. But the leak made a mess on my right pants leg which alerted me.

Have question regarding starting on my 2008 Breva Sport

There is a lot of Moto Guzzi "Big Block" info (mostly 2-valve head type) - including "Startus Interruptus" in this on-line text file that I used to maintain. I do not do so anymore but what's there is useful. Here is the link: dansher.com/bikepix/Guzzi/Norge1200/Norge_2007_fyi.txt

Have question regarding starting on my 2008 Breva Sport

The MPH starter relay fix worked perfectly on my 2007 Norge. I hope they're still in business mphcycles.com/starter-relay-fix-kit/

Help with mods on my 1200 Sport

There is considerable information about the Moto Guzzi Norge in this on-line text file I developed when I owned mine. It contains links to other on-line files such as Parts List, Electrical Diagrams, Shop Manuals etc. Or the full URL here: dansher.com/bikepix/Guzzi/Norge1200/Norge_2007_fyi.txt

Norge 2V. Fuel, compression but no spark

I no longer own my mighty 2007 Norge (2V Heads), but this extensive Information file I gathered remains on-line. Hopefully it will be of use to you and others in the future. It includes links to a dozen or so other on-line references including Service Manual and Electrical diagram and Parts...

Rear Pads down after 6000 miles

Just maybe your rear caliper pistons are a bit corroded (from being exposed to the elements during the last 1/3 of life of the previous rear pads). That would tend to make them not fully retract, increasing wear on the new pads. Have you noticed a sudden drop in fuel mileage since putting in...

Norge rear shock dismantling to replace spring

Can't be of any direct help because I've never done it, but a Shop Manual and illustrated Parts List would be a good place to start. You can acquire lots of how-to tips from Users of this Forum and there are many sources for manuals. The problem is that "search" results are often (always?)...

    Which Givi tank bag?

In March this year I bought both the GT adaptor ring and the 4-litre Givi ST602 Tank Bag from the store here: https://gtmotocycles.com/products/givi-4-liter-st602-tankbag-tanklock. My review of it there says: "This "4 litre" Tank Bag is about the size of an American football. Its internal...

    (SOLVED) Idle Stepper Readings

I too have fast-idle problems with my 2007 Norge (2-valve heads). I am still fighting the battle to fix it, but at least somewhere within all the comments here and elsewhere I am certain the cure is there. I have gathered these and more in this on-line collection of URLs on the general...

    [SOLVED] what is this pipe?

I do not have you answer (sorry), yet have gathered many schematics and diagrams into this on-line text file: https://www.dansher.com/bikepix/Guzzi/Norge1200/Norge_2007_fyi.txt You will find something useful there, now or later. 'Geeezer

Fuel range & pump possible issue - 2007 Norge

Half a dozen times with my '07 Norge, I have gone 220 miles on a "full" tank (how ever much that is). Engine never sputters and it takes about 4.5 US gallons to refill it. I'll count myself lucky! As a precaution I am having the Dealer replace the fuel pump with the all metal kind and because...

    the heat is killing me

I live in Arizona, USA. Daily high temps here have been over 105 F. (40 C.) for the last 6 weeks. I know how you feel. Stating the obvious: if you're riding in shorts and open sandals, stop it. I suggest heavy denim work jeans and mid-calf leather boots with knee-high socks. Their...

    07 Norge won't start

I have the same bike, which HAD the same no-start problem. Spend $40 and get the quick-start kit from mph. This fixed it permanently for me: http://mphcycles.com/starter-relay-fix-kit/ Installation took about an hour and only needed one wire (included) connected to the battery [+]...

Excessive vibration at all engine speeds.

You & I both have the "same" bike. Congratulations on your obvious wisdom, intelligence and long-suffering. In my ongoing quest to make mine all it can be, I offer you & others here this gathering of tech tips for the Magnificent 2-Valve, Norge (and Breva & Sport & Griso)...

Heated grips only work on one side

Here's a diagram on the 2007 Norge vapor plumbing system. It's a nice peek into the Italian mind and also useful for defeating & deleting the whole useless cannister contraption. If you do this, mind the three kinds of arrows and be sure that you block off tube "7" so air is not drawn into the...
