    Wasted 5 hours - Ferracci

I am headed to Ohio.....but I am doing several vintage car events and skipping the AMA vintage days this year. Not sure if I can get a dealer to do a driveby tuneup....they all seem to be in northern Ohio. I will keep Harrisburg in mind......but that is not on my way this trip. I am still...

    Wasted 5 hours - Ferracci

I am not one to complain, but if this saves someone time...... I do all my own work...but do not have an Axone. Since I am going on a 2000 mile trip this week I did a full maintenance....all fluids, filters, adjusted the valves, my bike is stock but for a Mistral can and a K&N filter. Checked...

    Headlight Rattle

This has me scratching my head, I developed a rattle at certain rpms last fall....looked everywhere for something loose. I finnally narrowed it down to the headlight...even though it was fast and secured. Today I opened it up....not knowing I had unscrewed the adjuster screw as well as the trim...

Bat Flattery (or something like it)

I also had a battery issue this week, had noticed some oddness in the fall. Even though it had been on a tender, as soon as the fuel pump came on the dash would go blank. I thought that I may have a battery going south, but I hooked up a radiator fan as load (agm / gels like a deep charge...

    G11-003 map.

I had heard of the 002 last year (maybe from fast by ferracci) it was supposedly designed for the over run pop with slip on exhausts. I just never got there for the update....maybe they are the source of the remap (they have the technology and experience to have done it). I know the other...

    Oil Filter Options... CARC Guzzis

Re: Oil Filter Options... oil and oil filters are always an argument...... I also have given up on fram (used to race with them).....and you should see what some of the new chinese filters look like after on a few hundred miles (pleats all distorted). Personally I like small micron filters...

Coast to Coast (RT 66) on a griso

Ah yeah.....although my "book" says the Griso has just over 17 liters (22 liters is the manx alloy tank I have been chasing for another project)... The low fuel light comes on a bit early, and it makes me nervous...plus we have had a lot of service stations close in the states. So I rarely put...

Coast to Coast (RT 66) on a griso

Yes I hit all three......fed the wild burros in Oatman while drinking my morning coffee......the griso holds 22 liters so I get 150 - 190 miles without cutting it close. I did stop for gas whenever I saw one and had more than 100 on the trip meter, but I never ran into a problem only putting in...

    Griso 1100 map #2

Well.....way back when I got the bike I thought I had read about a map #2 for slip-ons. If you remember that version of this board crashed and burned in late '07 and was offline for a long time. I have been under the Delusion that I needed to find an Axone to get map #2 for the past 2 seasons...

Heads up on an alternative driveline oil

I found that a local NAPA store was stocking german made "Lubro Moly" oils.....for the Bimmer and Audi / VW crowd. Fully Synthetic GL5 rated gear oil with Moly in it at a price less than Amsoil, royal purple or Readline.....it is made for the quatro diffs and gearboxes. I think it can handle a...

    Bike won't start, DSB07 & DSB08

Sure sounds like what mine did.....with no warning at nid-ohio last year....when a hose blew off the fuel pump. Look in the tank, when you turn on the key....I had a nice water fountian effect. It took 15 minutes and a few hose clamps to fix.

Link to speedo sensor threads pls.

I just had the same issue on '07 griso.....in the middle of the woods (northern Central PA). Spent a few hundred miles on very wet roads and lost the Speed sensor. It dried out after a couple of hours warm/dry running and I hit it with some clear coat nail polish...interesting way to start a...

removing or opening up air intake snorkels

I got my bike lightly used....under a 1000 miles on the clock. It had a K&N filter, drilled out box cover and no snorkle.....and with a Mistral can on it. There was a fair amount of popping during over run. I taped over the holes and put the snorkel back on (lessend the poppng) but I...
