    Nylon cover melted on headers

It was a tough decision putting the bike up for sale, especially in view of the fact that it is one of only two V7Rs in the country with the Record kit installed, according to Pro Italia. But I just bought two new bikes (for a current total of five) and the V7R would likely not be ridden much...

    Nylon cover melted on headers

I ran this question by the salesman who sold me the bike. He is a true Guzzi fan and said he twice melted the sleeves of nylon jackets draped over the tank on his personal V7 before deciding to wrap his pipes. Heat problems solved. As far as the wrap holding moisture, he says heat from the...

    Nylon cover melted on headers

Good point about wrapping the pipes. I am now leaning toward ceramic coating; but that will depend on cost and durability.

    Nylon cover melted on headers

After searching the forum archives and finding nothing on the topic, I have concluded that I may be the only person to have made the following stupid mistake(s). Last month, I was putting my V7R away after riding it on the weekend. After shutting down and putting it into the Sport Chock, I...

V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Re: V7 picture thread Hanging out with a group of Ducati riders last weekend at Mt. St. Helens in central Washington State. We let the Panigale riders troll for police traps on the road up to the volcano and followed at a brisk but enjoyable pace. The weather cooperated and gave us...

V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Re: V7 picture thread My new V7 Racer with the factory "Record kit" installed. I bought the bike at Pro Italia in Glendale, CA and it is now based in Vancouver, WA for the summer and fall. After 700 miles I am very pleased with the bike.

New Guzzi Owner - V7 Racer

The bike is beautiful in stock form. I plan to ride mine for a while before making any further upgrades. I have gone overboard in the past with aftermarket parts on other bikes, and I usually end up regretting many of the changes. No regrets about putting the Record kit on this bike, though.

New Guzzi Owner - V7 Racer

The pictures were taken last week at Pro Italia. Most of the stickers came off yesterday. A couple of stubborn ones still remain. I agree with you on the turn signals but haven't had time to look at what is available. The bike is now up in Vancouver, WA where it will spend weekends during...

New Guzzi Owner - V7 Racer

Pro Italia told me this is the only one they have been able to get so far, and they don't know when another kit will be available. Moto Guzzi really needs to step up production and distribution of this kit to dealers.

New Guzzi Owner - V7 Racer

Here are some more pictures of the bike with the Record kit installed. The kit is not just a bolt-on fairing and replacement seat. The headlight and instrument panel are moved about eight inches forward; new clip ons lower the bars about an inch or more (I didn't measure before and after...

New Guzzi Owner - V7 Racer

Another new member on this forum. I bought a V7 Racer last month from Pro Italia in Glendale, CA and just completed the first service. I also have an MV Agusta Brutale 1090RR, which has all the power anyone could want. I was looking for a milder bike to ride with my wife, who recently got her...
