    Mistral Slip-On bracket

Thanks for the heads up. Did you use the lowering link on the rear mount when you installed your Mistral?

    Breva Sport Pillion

She may get a little more vibes through the left footpeg than on a regular Breva. My wife complained until I put the Mistral exhaust on. She reports much less vibration in the left peg now. She is fairly tall at 5'8". There was some buffeting at speeds over 70mph. A taller screen eliminated...

    Highest HP Breva/Sport/Norge?

Thanks Cat. If you don't mind me asking, what did Mike Rich do to your heads and how were the results? My knowledge of tuning the Guzzi heads is minimal but I'm guessing most of the gains/work centers around setting squish and the valve job more than flowwork and such. Then adjusting timing...

    O2 Optimizer question

Yes. It will blink on start up and then the light will go solid.

    Highest HP Breva/Sport/Norge?

Revisiting this thread now that I've had time to get used to my winter mods courtesy of guzzitech. :D I love the increased punch the bike seems to have down low and into the midrange from the O2 Optimizer, Mistral, PC-V and swiss cheesed airbox. About that headwork....what would it entail?

Picked up a Stelvio wheel for my 1200 Sport...

I went back and forth on whether I liked it and decided I didn't want to clean them. They're also a bit heavier than the stock rims. Todd can set you up with a set of spoked rims if you are interested. I don't think anyone else has mounted a set on a 1200 Sport yet.

Griso bar risers on a 1200 Sport?

Will they fit? Not only are the Griso handlebar mounts damned good looking, they sweep back a bit which is exactly what I need to be more comfortable on my bike. I currently have some Mike Bui risers under my stock clamps. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Excessive corrosion on battery terminals? B1100

What Pete said. The starter cover has two allen head screws holding it on. The ground is the top one. I cleaned the ground strap and mounting point up and sprayed some ACF-50 on it this Spring.

Best way to spend $1k on engine mods?

I understand the deal. I just disagree with your version of it. Todd's stuff works. It does what he says. However, there is more than one way to skin a cat. I think if two 1200 Sports with open airboxes and exhausts were run on a dyno back to back and one had an O2 Optimizer and PC-V and...

Best way to spend $1k on engine mods?

If they all ran like mine does, there would be a LOT more Guzzi's on the road. My biggest annoyance stock was how the bike leapt away from the line, fell on its' face at 3500rpm, then took off again at 4k rpm. It induced driveline lash around town and made riding two up at low speed harder...

Best way to spend $1k on engine mods?

After I added a Mistral carbon exhaust, I pulled the snorkel on the airbox and drilled a few holes in the top of it. Installed a 50 dollar K&N filter. I ordered the $135 O2 Optimizer for the low end and $399 PC-V mapped for the above mods for the high end. I know a lot of people have...

    Brake pad suggestions

I have EBC HH pads and I like them quite a bit. However, I wouldn't mind a pad with a little more initial bite. Any suggestions? TIA

    best comfort

A Stelvio. By a large margin. The Breva, Sport and Norge all have a seat that locks you in place and the reach to the bars will have your stomach hitting the tank. The Griso tank doesn't have the hump in it but it suffers from the same minimal legroom as the Norge/Breva/Sport. The Stelvio...

    Norge cracked collector pipe

Bill, A friend of mine has a 1200 Sport whose exhaust cracked in the same place as yours. He simply wrapped it with muffler tape until MG agreed to replace it under warranty. He lost no time riding and didn't bother having it welded. Quite a few 1200 Sport owners in the UK reported similar...

    Norge rear brake problems

Unless you're willing to spin a wrench, you will never get an answer. The only way to troubleshoot this is to eliminate the possible causes. So far you've just asked for the root cause and seemed frustrated no one can diagnose it. Q-"What's wrong with my bike?" A-"Have you tried this or this...

    Highest HP Breva/Sport/Norge?

Todd, I haven't even had a chance to ride my bike after installing your PC-V and O2 Optimizer yet. I don't know how the filter, snorkel-ectomy and Mistral are all going to work together with your PC-V/O2(terrificly I am sure). I understand that you refer to them as fueling improvements rather...

    Highest HP Breva/Sport/Norge?

With the exception of needing a stiffer shock spring, my suspension is pretty well dialed in. I will be buying a Brembo RCS master cylinder as soon as I sell some unused gear on CL and Fleabay. I am not willing to start hacking off parts or removing items which help make the bike such a good...

    Highest HP Breva/Sport/Norge?

It's February in VT and we just got another foot of snow. My imagination is getting carried away. What's the realistic HP/torque ceiling for the 1200 Sport with reasonable mods? I'm fully aware that a Guzzi is not the best machine for generating numbers. I am just bored and wondering what is...
