    New Stelvio Owner

Hi I'm in Dorset if you're passing. On fuel economy and the fuel gauge. I have twice run the tank dry on 195 miles. The fuel gauge seems to operate as follows: Both segments black - full to half full Lower segment black - less than half full Mine changes from 2 black segments to one black at...

    NEW Guzzi Trail Bike

Check the Guzzi website and numerous other bike sites for the Milan-launched 3 prototypes. Although some of the bike sites are confused as to which photo, description and name matches which bike, self-evidently: The V12LM (Le Mans) is the Sportsbike (Red) The V12 Strada is the naked, streetbike...

    Clock Misting

Hi there. Yes this is a known issue. Happened to me regularly, especially last UK winter. Dealer changed the whole speedo unit. I had to supply evidence by way of a photograph - so keep a camera or phone with camera on you for the next occasion. The only drawback is that you get your odometer...

UK Price of Pirelli Scorpion Sync Tyres

I guess many of us will be onto second or third tyre sets by now and there is an old thread about achieved mileages. Of more interest than tyre life which is perhaps heavily user and conditions influenced, is the price you have to pay to change them! I have two quotes so far,

    Fuel Mileage.

How are you calculating your mpg John?. Are you using the trip computer and are your consumptions in US or Imperial gallons? There are several other threads discussing this. My general rule of thumb, which has held through 6000 miles of mixed, but solo riding, is that I get 10 miles per litre...

    Lower seat

Had my Stelvio lowered when I bought it from Motosport, Wareham, Dorset. They have a specialist co. who re-arrange the rear shock and presumably then drop the front a bit. Got about 1.5 inches out of it for around £120, I think. Vital for me as with 29 inch inside leg, it was just too big even...

    Instrument Panel Condensation

Hi Mike Contacted Charlie of Motosportaprilia.com who said they have to keep the old one for 3 months. However, believe they do have one or two from previous warranty exchanges and he said for you to contact him. They could 'sell you one'. Phone number is UK 01929555003 Cheers Martin

    Instrument Panel Condensation

Finally got the dashboard replaced under warranty, at the 6k service. All that was needed was a photograph of the misted-up window. This proved more difficult than I imagined as the weather conditions took ages to replicate the problem! The only downside appears to be that the odometer now...

    Seeking Neutral?

Just picked up my Stelvio from 6k service. They bled the clutch to try and fix the problematic neutral issue. On test they were unable to find a problem - but sure enough within 10 miles, back it came. So I tried Brian's suggestion of returning the clutch lever to the original span position and...

    Fuel gauge

Thats interesting. The top segment of the 3 has never gone black in the 6000 miles I've run her!!! The logic I described seems to make sense with 2 segments indicating 2 halves - 3 would make no sense at all given my crude assessment of 100 miles range per half tank (at best). I had no...

    Fuel gauge

Hi Slightly confused about the number of segments on the fuel guage. There appear to be 3, but the top one is simply a fuel pump 'logo' which is there permanently. The 2 below, as far as my years experience tells me, indicate if the tank is full to half full (both segments lit) or less than...

    Handguards

My dealer fitted the Aprilia Dorsoduo hand guards as the MG ones weren't then available. Bad decision! They also had to fit the Aprilia bar ends which cost another £20 odd plus they are half the height of the genuine parts and so offer less weather protection. Stick with the OEMs if you can get...

Stelvio REGISTRY & Pics thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Re:Stelvio out and about pics here... I have around 5500 miles on the clock and with mixed riding seem to be averaging 40-50 miles per gallon. The check for which is when I ran out of petrol at 195 miles and could only get around 17 litres in, thats approx 3.8 Imperial Gallons giving 50 mpg.

    Headsets

Hi Talking of the Shark Evoline helmet..........I have one, unfortunately! Do you find any of the following: 1. It mists up at the drop of a hat and especially in the rain 2. In the rain you have to crack the visor a little, which is very difficult to accomplish and then you get water...

    Instrument Panel Condensation

I recall this issue on the old forum but don't recall outcomes or solutions. I took my Stelvio out for its first extended run of the year in dry/bright conditions yesterday but found the panel completely obscured by condensation within minutes. Over the next 100 miles or so of riding in the...

    recall for the 8v

Thanks for this Hooiberg. Tried to get into the Guzzi site as described in the notification (to check if my bike is on the list) and its barred to all but recognised dealers. Will contact my dealer, although I expect they will know nothing about it yet, as from experience, this forum is 3 months...
