I have a '07 also and used Kuryakyn highway pegs. you don't need to cut into the lowers at all. They fit behind them no problem. In the summer I remove my lowers and then rotate the pegs so that they are in front of the bars. The bar diameter is 30mm (1 3/16"). The Kuryakyn clamp is a little...
In June of '21 I road down to SoCal to meet up with my brother for a 10 day ride so decided to have Todd's shop do some work (wheel bearings, elec. parts and a tune up) on my '07 CalVin. I thought my bike was running pretty good brfore I took it down there but now does it run sweet! sorry it has...
Ahh Todd, I listened to you! I was going to go as inexpensive as possible but in the end decided to do it all. My '07 CalVin runs so sweet, stonger everywhere but especially off the line. Even my wife noticed! Great job.
Hi everybody and thank you for any responses I get. My speedo is way off, reading 78 at a true 70. I have a '07 Cal Vin . Any way I can adjust it myself, there is a radar readout nearby on the freeway to check my adjustments if possible. Otherwise I will take it in to a local shop. Thanks, Mike
Any tricks in changing the linked brakes fluid? Have a "07 CalVin and last time I tried I screwed it up. Had to take it to a local shop that had a power vacuum set-up. Unfortunately they are gone now so thought I might give it a shot again. I have hand powered vacuum that works well with...
Hey Shrek, sorry it's been so long for this ride report regarding my summer ride on Avon Storm radials for my CalVin. I put a total of 4003 mi. going from southwest Oregon to Deadwood, North Dakota, then spending 5 days doing day rides from there then back to Oregon, 90% on back roads. The sizes...
gfritzmeier, I highly recommend the PC-V with autotune and ECU reflash from Todd. My '07 CalVin runs awesome. I had some problems with the install and Todd walked me through it. To get the tuning just right he hooked up to my computer via internet. He did a super job for me and I highly...
I am using the Storms xm. I had them on my Triumph and loved them. They now have a 15000 mi warranty and since I do a lot of touring that was a factor. I love them so far but that could be that new tire euphoria. Technically the rear is too large for my rim (should be 4") but the Triumph dealer...
You guys are giving me a lot of food for thought. When I got my CalVin the front end felt flighty or I guess vague. I raised the forks 0.5" (13mm) which helped immensely. Should I go for 20mm? I would think the bike has a rear weight bias with the bags and crash bars around them. Since then I...
Just wondering if a stelvio rear wheel would fit on a mid 2000 Calvin? Or maybe just get the rim and lace it to my rear hub. Thinking this because the stelvio wheel is the correct size for a 150/70-17 radial.
