I bought an 06 breva 1100, have about 7000 miles on it had hard life, was demo bike in Mn. was put down once had some new parts put on it by dealership in St Paul Mn but nobody is saying what was replaced. I want to know why
06 has more horses than 05 or 07? Also should I have ECU up graded or just leave alone. It gets about 42 mph and only pops out of intake when its above 82* F. One thing I have noticed the converter cat get really hot anytime is this right love to read you folks and enjoy alot of ideas Thank you for any help

I can't answer the horse power question. You do want to make sure it has the latest map loaded to the ECU. The latest maps for bikes are listed here: https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/160/2564.html I does help the low speed running. The pop through the intake is not normal. It may just need to be properly set up. See the VDSTS instructions here on the forum and the Breva service manual which is in the downloads section. Many of us have eliminated the CAT by using the Guzzitech of other supplier Y pipe. It really does eliminate the excess heat. Todd is recovering from injuries so it may be awhile before you can get the Guzzitech pipe. A few searches of the forum will yield a great deal of information for your machine.

Congrats Hars,
The B11 is a great bike. I dumped mine going about 30mph a couple of weeks after getting it. The damage was surprisingly minimal. Parts replaced were: chrome tank protector, mirror, turn signal, bar end weight, spark plug cap & protector, foot beg and peg bracket. So its possible that the damage to your bike was not that severe. I've since put on the Stucchi crash bars the mount to the frame and valve cover. They look great but add another step to adjusting the valves.

Not sure why the HP listed for the various years are different, but I wouldn't be surprised if its a typo. Could be the map provided when the bike of manufactured. You should make sure map was updated.

The hot cat is normal, I think MG realized that they sere cooking the trans, all the 1200 models have the cat in the muffler. I replaced mine with the GT Y pipe. Makes changing trans oil easier too. The CARC bikes do run very lean, there are tons of threads discussing the fueling. What you do depends on how much you're willing/able to spend. I went with the Memjet (bandaid) till I get the suspension upgraded then the GT fueling works will be next on the list.
