Any one have any recommendations for possible conversion to Cush drive using the original wheels?
Recently removed the rear wheel for bearing replacement, and noticed wear step in driver & driven teeth.
When in place the engagement is about 2mm of unengaged tooth, the driven gear teeth showing about a half mm wear step, the driving gear only a noticeable whisker.
The rest of the drive line has no noticeable wear or sloppiness.
I know the bike has no Cush drive & ride accordingly I.e. smoothly, so will keep riding & inspect again later down the track.
Not sure if I should just purchase a new driven gear hub & replace.
Thanks in return

Bigbear, my recommendation is to replace the driven hub. Also use a good synthetic grease in the splines that is water resistant.

Thanks John,
I will keep my eyes open for on on ebay as I have used a good quality water reistant grease when I did the bearings.
Hang onto your Mkv, I've had two and sold them on, but they are great bikes, totally bullet proof with awsome handling when set up right. They are definitely sought after.
