Can anybody tell me what ECU my 2009 1200 Sport 4v uses but more importantly what other bikes might use the same ECU, some Aprilias I would imagine and possibly a few Ducatis?

Thanks , Ian

Dave has noted what will work above. While the physical ECU is shared with many other Italian bikes, the pin-outs are different from bike to bike. Even the Griso/Stelvio ECU won't work on the 12S.

Have I read somewhere that Fiat cars also share the same unit.

I think the physical unit is the same but can't confirm this. Also not sure if flash'able with Guzzi bike firmware - But possibly a path to travel :)

I know that a 1100 breva ecu can be flashed to work with a 2 lambda 2011 stelvio map and that works in the stelvio, even if that has another layout. I bought a ducati multistrada 100 ecu and with that, after putting right map on my stelvio runs on that.

So I'm not with Todd in this, based on what I have seen working. Watch out for older ducati ecu, they look the same but can be 59m instead of 5am ecu. To be safe, any guzzi 5am should go.

I've done enough now to tell you to avoid headaches, stick with what I say above. The problems I've had between single gauge Guzzi to doubles warrant my statement. I've had everything from no-starts to no tacho/speedo or erratic readings when it did start... when swapping models. Most Ducati 5AMs have significantly different pin-outs, and most won't accept Guzzi maps using my software.

Cheers for the replies and apologies for the delay in responding. The reason I asked was I was going to approach some local tuning shops to see if they could map my Guzzi and thought if they had experience with other models using the same ECU then I might get a better result IYKWIM.

Merry Christmas ;)
