125 mph V85tt?

Probably because it can't go that fast. :) Motorcycle speedometers tend to be somewhat optimistic. Usually a 10% error or more.
Possibly a manual error that meant 125kph.

2021 owner manual has mph and km/h numbers backward for 5th and 6th gears in the English section on page 125 (1st through 4th gears are correct), but all other language sections are correct. Maximum setting shown for 6th gear is 109 mph (175 km/h) with units corrected. Speedometer on mine is about 5% optimistic (60 miles per hour indicated is actual 57 mi/hr on GPS). Red line on the dashboard electronic tachometer display looks like about 6,800 rpm with about 3,400 rpm at indicated 55 mi/hr in 6th gear. Therefore, it appears that the maximum set point for the cruise control corresponds to the beginning of the red zone (not the rev limiter, which I have set higher).

FWIW , in the Great White North , most provinces will confiscate your vehicle and leave you with
a dangerous driving charge , if you are at double the posted speed limit ! The last one costs a bundle in court .
