is a 1976 850 t3 a good guzzi? What should I look for? Says it has been restored and says low mileage ( I'm thinking the under 5k miles is since the Resto and odometer rolled ) I assume. Has both short and long seat and looks good. It's got me curious for my 1st guzzi!!

You won't be disappointed in a T3. It is a great all around motorcycle. I had one back in the day. I didn't get a bike equally as good (in my opinion) until the 1100 Breva came out. If the cartridge dampers are good, a fork brace is about the only handling improvement for that bike that I can think of.

Gusable don't do it, I think you should let me have it so you wont be tempted any more.

Really if anyone comes across a T or T3 or any 5 speed round heads near the USA West Coast at a reasonable price then please let me know.
Hard to find over here.

Cool! I think it's neat but I don't know anything about vintage guzzi's! A little intimidating getting into a bike like that instead of a newer 1200 mg. Their all so appealing!!!

Hi Gusable, I am not to worried to much about an old Guzzi but I to keep changing my mind about getting an old Round Head or a new V7 for my next bike.
So tell me John, i guess this T3 fb with running boards and Police(?) side stand is sort of half way between a T3 and T3 California ?
Also 1563 original miles! do you think ?
Its a pity about the distance from the West Coast but just had a quick look on line, does $600 USD sound about right to transport from Dallas to San Francisco ports?

Hi Fiat, Not sure about the mileage. May be miles since rebuilt. The T-3 FB is very close to the T3 California. The T-3 FB came with standard bars, the California with police bars. The Police bars are easily added to a T3 ( I did to mine) and some of the trim is different, but mechanically the same bike. Shipping sounds about right. I've used Federal a couple times and they have done a good job. http://www.funtransport.com/

I am local to this bike if anyone out of town would like me to look at it on their behalf I'd be more than happy to. I don't know guzzi's intimately but I am a ASE master technician and I know when it's fishy!

Thanks for the information John. Yes you are correct Gusable, pictures could be a lot better. Just working through all the costs to see what the landed price would be in NZ and if it looks OK I would take you up on your kind offer if its still available. Cheers, Steve.

I just got off the phone with the gentleman. Very nice guy. It is original mileage!! He got it with 800 and he the rest. He's got a serious buyer in the works but...... we'll see
