Hi, i was wondering if any one else had this issue, i stripped the engine and found a worn big end shell. It was not too bad but i replaced the pair, all the rest of the shells were fine. I rebuilt the engine and it still stays on for 2 to 3 mile. The oil switch is fairly new but the mileage is unknown. The engine is OK (bores etc)
and there is no unusual noise's. I am not very worried about this because i have checked the motor i was wondering if this was common with old Guzzi's. Does anyone thick it is worth changing the oil pump?
Any responses would be appreciated.
Thanks, Regards Joe

Just because it is a new oil pressure switch doesn't mean it is good. I'd recommend replacing and see what happens.

Might be worth installing an oil pressure gauge temporarily. Messy, but I did that many years ago on my 850T after I found the passages in the rocker pivots packed with junk from the old timing chain tensioner. Once I felt confident I was getting decent pressure, I went back to the sender and light.
