I have managed to trash the banjo bolt threads on my original 16mm m/c (long story involving far too many handlebar swaps).

I thought I could just swap the housing, so I bought one on eBay with a broken lever that looks like the correct one, black solid rectangular like mine.

When I took it apart, I measured the piston and found a 13mm one.

So, I can either get a used m/c in better condition ($60 - $80), or I could put a rebuild kit in the 13mm housing I have.

MG Cycle shows part number 110436250 (a 13mm kit) for a EV, Jackal, Bassa with 2 front discs (which I have).

Is this the correct pump for my bike and I can get away with just a kit for $22 for the one I just got, or do I need to source another 16mm one to make the brakes feel right? And how do I tell if a used one is a 13mm or a 16mm without taking it apart?

Hey Jack, only a single disk (or linked which only actuates one front) is adequate for 13mm. You should use 15 or 16mm pump if you have two front disks that use the front master. The size is stamped on the bottom center near the banjo bolt, and will state only the size (i.e. 13 or 15, etc). Brembo N.A. does not sell rebuild kits for legal reasons, but you can get them online elsewhere as you mention. I can get you a brand new 15mm for ~$100 or so I believe. Email me direct if you want one.

Thanks very much, Todd.

Like I said, it's only the brakes. >8]
