I am putting a different transmission in my 2000V11 Sport. Will a transmission from a 1998 V11 Sport work? Is there a gasket between the engine and transmission?

2000 V11 Sport transmission install

There is no ‘98 V11 Sport. There’s a ‘96-98 Sport 1100i & Daytona RS 5-spd. That will not work. You must use a ‘00-05 V11S shorter/side access door 6-spd.
The motor to transmission connection is dry, as is the clutch. This is a BIG job, and not one to tackle if you don’t know these bikes well.
