Ok everyone so I know this is a known issue I have read about it all over the place, this being a vintage bike now the contacts for the bulbs in the tail light are all wiggly and loose, I keep trying to snug them up by wedging something in there, however after a few minutes of riding with bumps and vibrations I am back to having no brake lights. Has anyone found a good solution to this? Do I have to re do all the wiring? I'm at the point where it concerns me from a safety standpoint of having no brake lights when I push on the brakes. Thanks for any info. :)

The whole plastic assembly is junk sorry to say. The turn signals will fall off in time as well. Are you married to the stock light? If so, see above... If not, I replaced mine early on with a Lucas repro "cat eye" version. The Cal Vintage uses a larger round light (photo below). None are easily swapped.
Post on your solution.

Yeah I actually hate how the stock light looks, like you said there is no easy swappable option, I cant even figure out how its mounted on the fender. I looked at some of the Lucas style ones they look great, I just dunno how I would mount it. I would have to start drilling holes and what not. The one in the picture on the Vintage does not look to bad, I might try to find one of those before anything else.

It's rubber mounted, and held on with bolts. Start taking it apart and you'll figure it out. There is a small "platform" welded on to the fender that will hold most any light, it just depends on how finished you want it to look. I carefully drilled out the the spot welds to remove the platform on mine (as seen HERE), and used the complete fender mount light shown below. You can find them on Amazon or sim.

I have changed out a tail light for a guy with a Jackal (same tail light assembly). I will say swapping out the light is not for the faint of heart. It can be done, but the inserts I suggested are the easiest solution. As for turn signals, I've seen them last for years, while other don't. Not sure what the factor is for their failing. The good thing is the stock signals are available if the stalk fails. Some places sell just the stalk.
