Hi, I recently replaced the OEM turn signals on my Breva with these LED turn signals from AF1.

They are a perfect fit that even have the right plug so they plug right in... But, they are LED so they flash maniac fast, which on most bikes is an easy fix. You replace the mechanical flasher relay with an electric one.
Unfortunately the Breva seems to not be a normal bike, and I can not find the flasher relay anywhere. I have looked in the manual, parts diagrams, wiring diagrams, and I can't find it.

Does anyone have an idea of how the turn signals flash on a 2004 Breva 750? Or where the flasher relay is?
 
There is no flasher relay per-say. They are flashed by the dash. This means you have to put a resister in line I believe.
 
15 ohms would pass the best part of one amp, so could run quite hot. Just be aware.
I believe you don't need anything like that current to fool the dash, I'm sure I remember someone saying around 200mA was enough.
 
Not in line, in parallel with the LED to mimic the incandescent bulb that has been removed. I found that a 15ohm resistor was sufficient to fool the dashboard on my Griso 1200SE.

So I can use a resistor to fool the dash rather than each individual turn signal? Or would I need to add a 15 ohm resistor in parallel with each signal light?
 
You need one for each light that is replaced by a LED version. If the bulbs were originally in parallel, then one resistor of half the resistance (= 8 ohms) will also work.

The wattage does not have to be that high, as the current is mostly off, and when being used is switched off and on.
On my Griso front LEDs (the rear are still original incandescent), I used a 15 ohm 5 watt resistor across each LED.
 
If you have 4 LED indicators you will need four resistors.

As I see it, the front and rear indicators are connected in parallel (according to the wiring diagram). If both front and rear indicators are replaced by LEDs, then you can either have two resistors (per side) as you are saying, or one resistor per side with the resistance of those two in parallel. The circuit does not care where the resistor(s) are located.

Please tell me where my understanding is incorrect.
 
On my Norge and others in this group, each indicator is fed from the dash and sensed individually. It might be the early breva was different of course.
