Just completed an install of a centre stand on my 2009 V7 Classic.
A fairly easy job but the foot plate ended up catching the heat shield on the left muffler and the rubber rest was way offset from the stop plate.
In my investigation, I found the left muffler is about 1.5 inches further away from the centre line of the bike compared to the right. A spacer solved the problem but it should not be required.
It is clear, looking at the bike from the rear, that the muffler and footpeg on the left is offset.
It looks like the bracket that connects to the frame is a bit off. It's not a real problem but I'm curious.
Can someone measure, from tire centre to muffler centre, a similar bike and let me know what you find.
Thanks.

my old v35 had a similar prob with the exhaust alignment, looks like it had fallen over and kinked the rear foot peg mount in wards.

Carefully bent it out

Thanks for your reply but it doesn't apply to my situation and doesn't answer my request.
The left muffler is too far away from the frame, not too close as would be the case with a fall.
I will probably end up bending the bracket in a bit but I want a comparison measurement before doing so.
