New member here, I just bought this beautiful machine and I am going for my first group ride this Sunday, as I am used to the sound of my California mistral, I am not too happy about the BMW like sound, with a somewhat limited budget, I was considering the same modification that worked well on my California Aluminium: High flow air filter, with cut air box, power commander and a more open/light muffler. Is this a good way to spend my money? I am open to all advises/suggestions.
Is the ECU of this bike so advanced and programmable that make power commander a waste of money?

Hi Romano,

Welcome back to the fold. Todd (GuzziTech) has a complete solutions for what you want to achieve - he will probably respond to this post as well - look in the store tab above under the various sections to find what you think you want and then drop Todd a PM, stating what you are thinking and get his confirmation on it before you order. His stuff works and you can get the full monty (exhaust, ECU update etc) including the PC, if you want.

Enjoy the ride.

As Tony said Todd can set you up. With the ECU the Norge uses Todd will need to flash that ECU for it to work with a PC V and Auto Tune. So it is not just be a bolt on affair. I think he has some exchange ECUs but you will need to contact him directly.

Welcome to the Forum, and congrats on the N8V. Love to get your info for the Registry; https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/topic?f=188&t=11529

The ECU is reprogrammable, but until late it has been very specialized as to whom accesses one, and still to date, those who can actually do it properly. I have been working on Guzzi F.I. since 2001 with Dynojet; I've been pushing development and consulting with them since then, and I can claim I'm the only reason they are still available. I have also been working exclusively on ECU re-flashing (see THIS thread for more info) since 2009.
As for modifications, I have proven gains with my CNC air box lid - see it HERE, and open muffler with fueling mods. Please see this thread; https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/topic?f=235&t=2686 -- as to my recommendations, and feel free to contact me direct e-mail for more info; Todd at GuzziTech.com
