2012 Stelvio NTX Head replacement?

Hi all,
I had my Stelvio recently serviced and it turns out I have "the older heads" under my valve covers, where the cams are wearing down. Moto-International in Seattle, said the heads would be $1100 if not procured under warranty. I haven't heard back from them since.

Does anyone have any more details about this, and/or a source for procuring the heads if I have to be the one to do it?

I've searched through the forum and found some of what I believe are the same issue, but no sourcing links.

You might want to search roller tappets. Warranty does not cover parts anymore. Not heads but cam & rocker towers and roller tappets.
 
I'm hearing they do continue to cover it (off and on), but as I wrote earlier, I haven't heard back from the one shop in town authorized to do the work and get the part. I will begin my search with those terms. Thanks!
