Hi all,

I was hoping to get more info on the Oils needed for V7 Stone 2013 (Not sure if it is VI or VII)

I Saw the Oil lamp sign on my bike glow red yesterday and I was hoping to get the Manual and the specs for the oil changes.

can someone help me with that? I tried the Downloads link on this forum, but it said I do not have the permissions to download.

Thanks

If your oil lamp is glowing red, this means there is insufficient oil pressure in your engine. Please, do not continue to operate the motor if this is still happening.

What are the actual events that are happening to your motorcycle? Please be specific.

Two things cause the oil can lamp to come on, with the engine running, 1-no oil pressure, meaning a faulty pump or no oil in the engine. 2-If the oil lamp came on when the ign was turned on usually a faulty pressure switch or loose wire.
With the ign on but not running the ECU looks for a contact to ground, if this is open it will display the oil icon. Once the engine starts and pressure rises the oil icon will only come on if the pressure drops. If the oil lamp comes on when your driving you need to pull the clutch in and stop immediatly, This is how it works on my Breva

All the latest use 10/60. Do a search here for more oil info than you ever needed to know. Yours is a plain V7. Every year can be different for the amount and type used in the 5-6 speed trans and the rear end.
