For a guy who's hero is the tortoise not the hare what sort of fuel mpg should one expect from a new Stone?

I tend to get crap mileage on my bikes MOST of the time (unless I'm touring with my wife and really taking it easy).

Between a heavy throttle hand and the crap gas we have around here I tend to get 5-10 mpg less than my wife does on the same bike, or the same less than reports I hear from others on say this or the WG BB's.

That said, in the first 1700 miles (since this past December, so a lot was winter grade fuel and cold temps) I've managed 45-48 mpg so far.

I suspect that my wife will see 50-55 easy.

And that agrees with some other reports I've heard.

Anything starting with a 5 would be nice. I could easily be happy with that.

Around 50 is what I've been getting in combined hwy/city use. Low 30's on the racetrack.
