I'm looking in to having Sargent rebuild my stock seat in to something that's a bit more comfortable for me. The downside is they need my seat for 3 weeks or more. I can't be without my bike for that long during the best part of the riding season, so I'm looking for someone who has a stock seat I could buy so I can keep riding while mine is being "fixed". Anyone?

I have a spare stock seat, but it would probably take longer than the three weeks to send it to you from New Zealand? Wouldn't it be better just to see if anyone can loan (or lease) you a seat?

Is the stock seat so bad you can't finish out the season then send it in?

I know some folks who went to the fabric store & got a piece of fake sheep skin & tied it to the seat. Worked so well they just left it on.

It's bad enough for me, but it's really bad for my wife. She loves riding, but really hates the seat. Maybe I'll try an AirHawk and/or some sheepskin. If it works, it'll save some $$! Thanks!

Did Sargent give you a price on the build? I've used Sargent seats on my BMWs and Ducatis and was hoping they had one ready to ship for my Custom.

If mama ain't happy......
My wife was in a car wreck some years back that left her held together with steel pins. She can only ride on the Victory & uses a small blow up dough nut with a wedge stuffed under the front. Even with that she can only go a little over an hour for the first part of the ride then she needs breaks more often.

I purchased a similar device for my wife to use as pillion, and then I purchased a Touring seat that had been packed with firmer foam. Alas, my wife still won't ride with me any more, due to a neck injury sustained at her workplace.

The guy from Sargent that I spoke with said they don't have anything made up for Guzzi's, but if I send mine in with detailed instructions, they can get me what I want, and their average custom makeover is running around $350. If I get what I want and it's only $350, I'll be a happy camper..errr..biker!

Keep us informed on how this goes. Pics would be appreciated also...

Are you still looking for an OEM Custom seat?

I haven't heard from you so I assume you have solved your problem and do not need my Custom seat?

Yes, thank you, I did solve my seat problems: I finally called Corbin, and they just happened to have the exact seat I was looking for, in stock. That seat, the the luggage rack and the top box have all made the Mrs. a very happy rider! Me? While I now know, after test riding each, that my CaliCustom 1400 is quicker than both the Indian Roadmaster and the Harley blahblahblah Ultra, in my heart I'm still very much missing my 2015 Ducati Panigale 1299S. Damn that was a great bike! Looking to get a Griso, used, to keep me happy, as it's a very sweet ride, but folks don't part with them very often....

Maybe contact Sargent and ask them if they want it. They might want to prototype a seat. I've used Sargent seats on my BMW's and Ducati's and have always been very pleased. I think they are also part of the Mustang line for cruisers.

Good, I am glad to hear that you have your seat solution!

I am not looking to give it away. May offer it for sale since it looks like I am not going to be riding on it.
