Hi, I just registered here and am looking forward to diving into the treasure trove of experience and know-how in this community. I just recently got myself a new bike, new to me anyway. It's a 2014 V7 Stone with barely 9600mi on the clock. Eager and exciting for spring to roll around, but I've alread put 160mi on the bike in just the few days I've owned it.

My question for the community is, could anyone recommend a good service shop for me? I live near Johnson City, TN USA anywhere within 30 miles or so is great. I could get on Google and just search motorcycle shops but, I wanted to get advice from the good folks here since word of mouth is worth a lot more than just winging it and hoping to land a good shop by calling around to see who works on Moto Guzzi bikes.

I hope I'm not stepping on any toes by asking for a referral or recommendation. Let me know if I am, please.

Thanks

You won't find a shop that knows Guzzi within 30 miles. You closed is probably Sloan's in Murfreesboro. A good haul away. There once was a dealer in Knoxville, but that closed many years ago. There are some Guzzi riders in Knoxville, but I haven't seen them on this forum.

Thanks for the response. What's interesting is I've seen the paperwork and this bike was originally purchased from Sloan's in Murfreesboro! I actually lived there just a few years ago. Small world, it seems.

I guess I will be needing to find a way to get it over to them for major servicing, and find a way to learn all I can for smaller maintenance tasks like fluid changes and the like.

The old saying," Moto Guzzi. making mechanics out of riders since 1921!! " You can search this forum for those tasks. Also with a donation you can access the service manuals in the Downloads section. See https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/user-account-upgrade-donations.14025/

That will be the plan, then. I have a mechanical background so I'm not afraid to tackle most tasks, provided I have the proper reference material and parts availability. I see no problem supporting a web forum that provides that reference material! I already support Youtube plenty (in the form of their Premium plan), but that's been a great resource for many years in many different ways.

Thanks!
