Hi guys,

Just a quick question. Do any of you have any idling issues with a cold start? I find with mine I have to keep my hand on the throttle for a couple of minutes, after thumbing the button, 'till the thing has warmed up a bit. If I don't, I find that the revs drop and it cuts out. I wish I had one of those levers that are on the Breva.

When below 45f mine needs a little extra "twist". Usually good after holding for 15 - 30 secs though

Yup, the cold start decay curve is crap. It seems to be more time related than heat related as there is no way in the world the ETS can start registering anything more than a degree or two at most in the time concerned.

Yup, mine does it too. it's a pain but AFAIK nothing can be done about it.

Start bike. Ride off immediately, don't stop unless you have to for 3 miles/ 5 Km. By then it seems enough heat has got into the area of the ETS to make it work.

Surely this isn't going to turn into another big 'Sandy 'Gina' moment is it???

Funny... I haven't noticed this problem yet... I have been riding in -5°C temp but no problem.

PS (ooops sorry I thought I was in the Stelvio section!!!)

Hi Steve,,,

I have this issue as well. I had Map #2 installed just as it was becoming cooler over. So I was never sure what caused the idling problem that surfaced around then. But as Pete points out, you get used to it and after a few k's mine idles fine. Errrr, it's still in the shop, but that 's another story.
